IKEA has historically been pro LGBTQ+ and blåhaj just became a symbol for the trans community. I got one when I was baby trans, it was nice to have it because it felt like a symbol that I was a woman in some way. I'd get one again, I still love it and I cry with it when I am having a hard time. People here will make fun of your for it but I will love my blåhaj until the day I die; it reminds me of a simpler time.

Despite still boymoding, it’s a nice kind of secret symbol that shows both my support for the trans community and also that I’m part of it without outing myself to everyone. I have mine in my room and while there are friends that will have seen it in my room, I don’t mind cos I feel that if someone knows what it means they are very much likely to be ally.
