In some countries they do it without anesthesia. It hurts like a bitch but ultimately I don't think the sedation is necessary. You can tough it out. However, the pain is going to kill your boner for sure. Have you ever been so gassy it hurt to breathe or move? It's that but encompassing your whole stomach.
