What effects does estrogen have on your emotions, perceptions and thoughts? What is the subjective experience of taking it?
Take your estrogen Nona.
>>44024754Everything outside lowered libido is placebo
>>44024754> emotionsi they feel more vibrant and less blunted> thoughts more or less the same> perceptioni no longer dissociate
>>44024754Mentally, I'm not violently angry like I used to be. Some other mental changes are hard to tell if it's because I'm relieved I'm not masculinizing more or if it's actually because of estrogen. Physically, skin got a lot softer and body hair grows marginally slower. Chest has barely changed, but I have really low body fat, so not surprising.
>>44024831It definitely also makes it more difficult to avoid crying
>>44024754Gooseworx said it's harder to be funny
>>44024834>i they feel more vibrant and less blunted>i no longer dissociateThat's interesting. Do you suspect these are psychological effects because you feel more comfortable with yourself and not a direct result of the hormonal changes?>>44024878Are there any mental changes that are negative, so they'd more likely to come from estrogen itself and not improved mental health? I'm also not particularly interested in physical changes since those are already very well-studied.
>>44024754Ftm but >Emptions Can no longer cry, I can fully control myself when I'm stressed or panickedA lot more calm in general. I also don't get emotional over random shit anymore >Thoughts My internal monologue calmed down and my mind in general is more quiet, I can meditate better>Perception Idk, pretty much the same Ducking demonic hormone that turns you into a whiny bitch but if you want to then you should probably take it
>>44025007yes i dont think its an estrogen primary effect but rather a lessened sense of dysphoria and dread that came with being on e for some time and noticing changes. ive heard from ftms that t gave them the same effects.
>>44025026>Can no longer cryLike not at all? Even at a funeral or something?
>>44024754> actually believes that hormones chnages your mental statefell for it again award, the same kind of person who believes in ADHD and BPD and sociopathy
I felt more relaxed in general. Cried much more easily but it felt nice even. I cried when I was happy too. Less stress in my bones. Nipples hurt tho, but in a fun way.
>>44025026Should clarify that these all the things when I went from estrogen > testosterone >>44025041If I get really drunk I can shed a tear or two but it's nothing like it was before. I used to sob multiple times a week over really dumb stuff, the difference is crying is the biggest emoti9nal change I saw on hormones
>>44025041NTA, and I'm a man who has taken testosterone for replacement therapy. I haven't noticed that having higher T makes me less likely to cry (I cry sometimes when experiencing sad art).
Estrogen is whatever but if you take progesterone by the mouth instead of shoving it up your ass, you feel incredibly drunk. Like I've legit abused the shit before. Very weird drug.
>>44025007no negative mental effects for me at all personally.
