I am not a professional but I'm preparing to start transitioning myself. Orally ingested estrogen is digested in the body and as such some would be wasted if it didn't add something to prevent breakdown. This additive can cause liver issues and some deficiencies. Be more careful with pills, especially if raising dosage. It's why I'm using estradiol in the vial, less factors to consider when raising dosage.
