MTF/FTM, how'd your parents react? I'm getting close to where I'll probably have to tell them, and I'm struggling hard.

my mom freaked out saying my dad would divorce her over it but she would still support me and is constantly being a brownie pointer. dad didnt gaf, just kept quizzing me abt possible health risks and after i answered stopped asking abt it and fully supported me. t. poon

mom was fine with it and to this day she's my #1 supporter, she helped me get hrt since i was underage, took care of the legal process to change my name and gender, but it did take her a couple months for it to really sink in and acknowledge who i really am. dad wanted me to hide it at first, to avoid getting hate crimed in public, but he didn't really hate me or anything, he wanted me to hide it at home too because it was difficult for him to accept the hardships that i would have to endure as a tranny but it was never from a place of hatred or anything, he was also kinda confused by me still exclusively liking women despite transitioning into a woman, but after a week or so he fully accepted me and still actively supports me.
