You have to understand you're taking in a child who probably comes from a broken home and is dealing with a ton of trauma surrounding it. A parent who rushes to adopt because they can't have kids themselves might not be prepared to deal with that, and it can lead to unfair resentment and all sorts of other issues.It's just a very different experience. It doesn't mean it can't still be beautiful and work out amazingly, but it's not just an alternative to having your own bio kids. It should be a decision made because you want to, not just because it's your only option. You can love them just as much but it will be a different type of relationship
