canadian trannies, are things really that much better in vancouver? or is montreal the better option for a tranny? (or do i say fuck it and move to an american city)t. kamloops transbian
>>44033891Van is very much not hostile to transgenders, but it’s a very expensive city to live in. Can’t comment on MTL’s culture as I’ve never lived there, but I do know that the COL is lower than most large Canadian cities.
>>44034079(Most of my friends are trannies which is how I know this btw)
>>44034079i can make the cost in vancouver work but i'm more worried about the ease of making friends, things to do, finding a partner etc. i've gone a few times so i'm familiar with the greater area but was unable to meet literally anyonemost people i speak to dickride montreal but everything i've seen makes it seem worse than even calgary
>>44034093It’s easy for trannies to make friends in Van, at least if my friends are any indication. Note that Van ppl tend to stick to their established friend group and race, though. Can be hard to make friends here unless one person takes a liking to you and invites you into her friend group and they accept you (this is how I met most of my friends)
>>44034103i see.... are there many bars or areas other than dt east end that they congregate in? like is it similar to cap hill in seattle where you can just go to cap hill and find people pretty quickly?
>>44034126The only bar that my trans and/or lesbian friends (some of whom are transmasc, too, btw) ever mention is the Birdhouse. Van is notorious for its lack of nightlife, even to the point that it’s been nick-named “no fun city”My dream is to move to MTL and troon out and attend many orgies
>>44034126btw DO NOT visit the DTES. Awful, dangerous, violent place. One time a woman was tortured in a tent for hours and killed there; bystanders heard her screams and no one helped her.
>>44034137birdhouse.... i've heard of it before. aren't they that little events space? what about toronto? similar at all to mtl? >>44034145i meant more like the drive or main, that's where i'm usually told. the one time i walked a bit too far on hastings i had to disappear into an alley and hail a cab.
>>44033891Neither, u need go to the usa
>>44034292idk if i could find a job as easily there
montreal has such long hrt waiting lists and half the lances require a psych eval it’s hell unless u diy ofc
>>44034819i've been on diy for a while and all my docs are changed so that's not rrly a problem. also, wdym about lances?
>>44034876everyone keeps impaling me with lances because i’m a tranny
>>44034878do you want my lance proof vest?
>>44034896it doesn’t matter… i’ll always be a lancehon
>>44033891Spend too much time in Montreal and you’ll be selling you body, come to Ottawa habibi.
>>44035164feels like anywhere is going to be majority non-monogamous/poly. ottawa can't be the exception to that lolwallahi i need someone loyal
>>44035182Okaye yeah ok Ottawa isn’t great I’m gonna be completely honest. There was a polycule breakup that a freind of a freind of a freind of mine was in that totally imploded upon itself and now the entire trans scene has collapsed.
>>44035254none of them had the makings of varsity athletes i'm assumingottawa doesn't seem like a bad city tho
