Convince me that any of the LGBTQwhatever thing is not a cult
>>

To what end
>>
>>44040211
a cult is a large codependent relationship centered around one leader that abuses all other members to ensure codependence, it's almost impossible to have this sort of relationship without physical community, all the members in one place with their leader, the lgbt community just doesn't have that, you can't point out one single leader of the lgbt community either, if you wanna say it's religious you can but it just doesn't have the conditions of a cult.

A lot of people tells me sometimes I'm an "egg" it's funny sometimes but I wonder who is behind this
>>44040374
>Who's the leader
Israel?
>>
>>44040211
no deity or chosen one
no reverent objects or figures necessary
no dogma except to love each other how you want to
no apocalyptic predictions
>>
>>44040542
They behave the same and promise liberation and happiness giving up your individuality (and cock)
>>
>>44040211
Convince me it's in any way like a cult
>>
>>44040556
your definition of cult is looser than your anus
>>
>>44040556
>they want people to give up their cock
lmao just fuck off and kys dude
>>
>>44040588
I surrounded myself of weird people and I'm getting attached to them. It's weird.
>>44040600
Why so aggressive?

You're mistaking the forest for the trees. LGBT is not a discrete "organisation" or "community", it's a demographic that shares certain traits and lifestyles. There isn't a single chain of command, there's just people who are gay or who transition. The reasons for why they do this can be complex and tied up in social, cultural, and political factors. Maybe some people are "brainwashed" into doing gay shit or transitioning. The opposite is verifiably true - conversion therapy is just trying to manipulate someone's mind so that they don't do gay shit. "LGBT" people do not act as a single unified force, and conversely, neither do straight cis people.

>Israel
This is the problem, innit? You ask to be convinced that this is not a cult, but you want to cling to the assumptions that you use to justify why you believe it in the first place. You can blame Israel for wrongs in the world, but that doesn't mean LGBT people are a cult - you are trying to build a chain of logic that is not built on coherent Premises. Even if LGBT people were in a cult, that doesn't mean Israel is responsible. Inversely, an Israel theoretically being responsible for SOME cults does not mean that it is responsible for ALL cults. These two ideas don't logically flow from each other, there's motivated reasoning behind this.

You're trying to simplify the world so that it aligns with pre-existing ideas you already had, rather than trying to arrive at logical conclusions from sound premises.

Maybe you are right, and LGBT people are a cult, but if you are right, you have arrived at that conclusion incidentally, not because your logic is sound. Sometimes people arrive at the incorrect conclusion from sound premises because of faulty logic, and sometimes people arrive at correct conclusions from unsound premises because of faulty logic.

And just to make sure no one misunderstands, you are NOT right.
Your conclusions and your premises are wrong.

what if it was a cult? what then?
>>
>>44040211
no single shared belief system
>>44040556
anyone who gives up their individuality is simply doing it wrong

Because no one indoctrinated me, I grew up in a rural area with no intenet but I was gay before I ever heard the word gay or had any real context for it.

Convince me that you didn't come here to confront LGBT people based entirely on the programming of the cult you're in.
>>
>>44043066
Is there a cult that makes people confront LGBT people? Asking genuinely, I thought that cults try to avoid people who are too far from their ideas, even when it comes to arguing.
>>
>>44043194
not always. JW are notorious for knocking on peoples doors.
>>
>>44043194
christianity.
>>
>>44043216
Ah. I forgot about those, haven't come across them so they're out of sight out of mind for me.
>>
>>44040414
>Israel?
So what do you make of most lgbt people being anti Israel and them being more anti Israel than the rest of the population?
>>
>>44043234
I guess some subtypes of it might be encouraged to do it... I see. Although, isn't Christianity not considered a cult?
>>
>>44040414
>A lot of people tells me sometimes I'm an "egg" it's funny
What do you mean by that?
>>
>>44043257
The only difference between what's labeled a cult vs what's not is social acceptance, most of which are grandfathered in merely because they're old.
>>
>>44043257
every religion is a cult. look at maga christianity. they're trying to abolish the seperation of church and state because evangelicals have taken hold of the party and believe they're doing god's divine will. they're acting in bad faith as they use God's name as their rationale for the installation of their version of sharia law.
>>
>>44043309
I see. I just imagined that cults required much more personal costs than religions and that is what distinguishes them. Like, more restricted movement and routines, limited ways in which to talk with people outside of them, big financial sacrifices, and so on. But I guess if it is not how it's measured, then I guess it is fair to call it that.
>>44043319
Wow, I did not know that they actually believe in the god thing. I thought they were just doing that because Americans have sort of respect for "culturally Christian" stuff, so they play off of it. At least that was my impression.
