How do I stop having transphobic thoughts? Specially when I see a trans women who doesn't pass and non-binary masculine people.
I want to be a better person, but I'm lacking control to feel disgusted when I see these people.
For now I'm trying to not be friends with trans people, but I can't help it when sometimes I see them in spaces I like to go.
I'm not joking.

Sounds to me less like you're transphobic, and more just a judgy person. Most people have some kind of internal reaction when they see something they percieve as ugly, i think that's normal. If you were transphobic, you would probably have that reaction to every single trans person you clock right?
If you do, then there's probably something deeper going on. What is it about them that makes you feel disgust? Just the looks, the idea of them?

I saw a hon at the RMV today and it upset me. She tarnished my mental model of trannies.

first, try to think of them as like misogynized men (spoken less trannily, males that get treated like women either economically or socially). for instance, lets say you're at work and a new coworker is a hon. the typical liberal way of going about things is to try and force yourself to see a woman- but this isn't, like, your actual perception, so you'll probably subconsciously see her as a man, and might assume she's well off and is paid well. but, if you instead research a little and try and figure out not what she, like, metaphysically IS, but what her life is like, you'll come out of it better. on average, she probably makes 60c for every dollar you do. and just with that knowledge alone even if you see her as a man you'll still be more likely to understand her position, and maybe by doing so you might begin to see her as a woman. i do this. i still see most trannies as men, and although i'm lying to them about that, they say i'm a good person and shit. they can't peer into your mind

other option is to attempt to dislodge the lookism from your mind. i tried and failed but maybe you can do better.

I think it's the lack of self awareness. I'm not sure.

The problem sometimes is not about lookism. There's people who make me think that they transitioned to stop being incels. I feel uncomfortable with their cringe behavior too.

Sometimes its not a lack of self awareness, sometimes its actually self awareness where the person you're judging came to the conclusion of "I might not pass, but I'm still going to try and live my life how I want to live it."

Trying and failing to succeed does not mean that you weren't aware of the potential for failure. Failing doesn't mean you can't try again, and failing depends on how you define success. I think it's more productive to try to admire and encourage the attempt at joy, even if it's difficult or awkward or doesn't work out. We respect the fat person in the gym, precisely because they are trying to achieve something. Whether they achieve it or not is secondary.

Being judgemental of hons, neverpassers, and theymabs is normal. It's just wired into the human brain which is aesthetics based by default

What transphobic thoughts are you having specifically?
