I've had good experiences since around the 1 year mark on hrt. It's pretty chill actually. Me and my gf are both trans and she usually is more girlie pop than me aesthetically, I dress more alt/punk. People are generally pretty nice and affirming of us, we've had maybe one or two times in the 2.5 years we've been dating where one of us was misgendered, and we live in a red state (though we are moving to a blue state soon).
