What good tranny media is there? I feel like a lot of it is really sneedy. I actually really liked Jax despite having some problems with the finale. I also really liked Jules in season 1 of euphoria before that show went to shit.
>>44042396I’ve been on this board for literal years but I still haven’t been able to figure out exactly what “sneed” means here. I think it’s an adjective that describes reddit trannies, have I got that right?
>>44042396The only other piece of trans media that really resonated with me like that is Wandering Son
>>44042396I always found more comfort in shows with trans allegories since ironically enough they're able to be more open about things than the standard shallow slop that gets shoveled at the masses
>>44042407clipping of sneedhon, so it just means hon. originally sneed itself is nonsense. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/sneed
>>44042477I wasn’t asking for its etymology, I was asking for its definition. Wiktionary doesn’t get as specific as I’d like it to (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/sneedhon); “sneedhon” seems (to me, at least) to mean something more specific than “an undefined trans woman who does not pass”, at least on this board.
>>44042396loner dog snuff puppy carnage society despite the title this shit unironically changed my life
>>44042474In this vein I did think that inside mari was really incredible when I read it
>>44042497it generally means something along the lines of "tranny people/media with cringey redditranny vibes"
>>44042570As I suspected
>>44042396No cap? Bicentennial ManWar Against the Chtorr (main character is bi and a side character is a body hopper and they're both extremely mentally ill)Transmetropolitan has an alien body change cult Anything Lawrence of Arabia/Robert Graves related but that's more gay than transI haven't read the Invisibles however it's supposedly very good
in Fire punch by Fujimoto there's a really good trans character, it isnt really trans media but its one of the few character i can think of that openly shows dysphoria.Serious weakness(book) also should be giod but i havent read it yet.Catherine has a trans character(not the femboy) and theyre good. she doesnt get a big spotlight tho
>>44042407i thought it either meant cringy or special needs, but it seems like it's used interchangeably
I was gonna make a thread on /lit/ asking if there's any transgender books but people there don't actually read
>>44042396>What good tranny media is there?Anything with a well written woman in it? Anything written by a woman?
>>44042954my cis lesbian friend suggested Hell Followed With Us. Havent read it yet and don’t know if it’s sneed slop or not. Is /lit/ a troon friendly board? I’ve never really gone on there. I rarely venture beyond /tttt/
There is a transman in the later seasons of the L word
>>44042396The only trans rep I think I have ever liked in a game was marina from fear and hunger 2, doesent feel forced at all and feels realistic for the time period, I see some people on line do the thing they always do where they call her a femboy but shes very clearly not
>>44043098its teenslop about christcucks destroying the world using the saya no uta virus. it's not that bad but expect to roll your eyes a bunch
>>44042396okaeri alice was alright
>>44043923like Bridget from guilty gear it's nothing because it's just grooming
>>44046395I feel like it being fear and hunger differentiates her from the uwu valid cookie cutters lol
>>44046789in what way does existing inside a morbid setting make the fact that her story is just "my mommy groomed me teehee (she had to do it for insert arbitrary reason here) but it's ok because I just happened to be a tranny so I liked being made to wear dresses as a little boy :)" any better
>>44042407It’s what we would call Reddit trannies. teenage Reddit 4trannies couldn’t use it because they were also on Reddit so they invented that instead
>>44042497its like a value mismatch, it just means cope and seethe but like the seething being a performative cringe way of "actually i like coping its healthy" and the person saying sneed is asserting that you are in a subordinate position to them bc they embraced detached irony and you care about things which is reddit. i guess it means sorta like expressing sincere vulnerability as a positive trait, where the opposite is vulnerability as weaknessthats entirely guessing off context tho could be wrong
>>44048064Not really, sneediness just makes me cringe, I don’t see any problem with being vulnerable, I actually view sneediness as not allowing vulnerability. go to r/mtf and you will see people being vulnerable about their dysphoria being shut down for being too negative.
