>7 months on hrt
>no family
>no friends
>mental health declining significantly
>currently 3 weeks on unpaid leave from job
>been shut in crying and feeling a lot of pain
today i realised that my life is in my hands and that no one is coming to save me. i've managed to unlearn my learned helplessness enough to see this truth. it's all on me to make my life good and i cannot run anymore...

Excellent first step.
Now onto the next steps:
>get back to the job
>pile up some cash
>use them to LIVE rather than exist
>get disciplined with your objectives (be they voice training, socializing, or whatever you want)
>set intermediary achievable objectives
>reduce your screen time to no more than 10hrs/week
>spend at least 20 hours a week outside (that's just marginally more than a maximum security prison inmate)
>by the end of 2026 get to spending at least 3hrs/week with another person IRL
nobody is coming to save you, nona. that is absolutely true. now dust off and start working towards saving yourself. you can do it!

thank you, i know i can do it! <3

i've got 25k saved up. the plan is to quit this job (programmer) and find some part time work doing something social and hopefully around other lgbt people. i qualify for schizobux which will help cushion finances.
unfortunately i just cannot do this sort of work anymore, especially when im in such a fragile state, too much sitting, thinking in a sterile environment was driving me insane.

yeah. those are some good ideas. i'm starting slowly by just trying to make sure i leave the house once a day, even if it's just for a walk. i need to build an internal life that i love first though. i tried all socialising/friends stuff a few months ago but i was still too mentally unwell and things fell apart.
ive been trying to listen to what my needs are more. last week i finally started practicing vegetarianism, it feels good to do something that i know is right for me.
next few steps are starting to cook and eat regularly, cleaning regularly, showering/brushing/grooming regularly, sleep regularly.. baby steps but necessary ones

Do get side gigs. Do anything to cushion finances.
It's good that you have some savings. It's very good. But actually living is still expensive. $25k is nowhere near close enough to ensure you that.
"Money doesn't bring happiness" is a misinterpretation of a much older piece of wisdom. Ignoring finances will make you miserable again.
>i just cannot do this sort of work anymore, especially when im in such a fragile state, too much sitting, thinking in a sterile environment was driving me insane.
relatable. I went to work in logistics for a similar reason. Eventually climbed up the hierarchy there.
Whatever you do, do not neglect your finances. Having money is in itself a source of mental stability. And a source of trust in yourself.
It's way easier to try things if you have fuck you money. And it's way easier to be confident when you know that ultimately nothing really bad can happen to you since you can afford to be fired or marginalized from the current friend/coworkers group.

Good approach. Just like in finances, in socializing the compounding effect is real. It's very hard at first, but the benefits are longer term and build upon each other.
