The differences between trans women and femboys are a lot more than just looks. One of the things about trans women is that we tend to at least act more demure or feminine while femboys mansplain, play vidya with their bros all day, act like dudebros, etc. Even when a trans woman has "masculine" hobbies it's often approached in a more cutesy way, kind of like girlypop Warhammer painting. There are definitely the kinds that blur the line but one of the main things is that femboys look like that for the camera and then go back to being men for the rest of the day.

I think your conscious awareness of what gender you're looking at changes how you find them appealing. For me if I see that individual as a femboy, I'm attracted to them for their cute outfit and twink body type. If I see them as a trans woman, I'm more attracted to their soft facial faces and seemingly feminine demeanor
