The same thought definitely occurred to me as well, but the more I think about the movie the more I realize that it (very intentionally it seems) swerves around exactly that issue. As in, at first it very much like a "le crazy girlfriend" type deal, but instead the protagonist has the opportunity to at least try to fix things at several points, but is instead too much of a coward/too possesive of her to do it. The BPD route would definitely have been the easier way to go, but it wouldn't have been even a tenth as interesting as the dynamics at play in the movie.

I had a hypersexual partner at a time where the medications i was on basically killed my sex drive. I tried to be accommodating but it was like multiple times a day and honestly became a massive chore (esp bc i was the one mostly doing the work). It wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t guilt trip me/constantly pester me whenever I said no. Eventually that was one of the reasons, among others, why i ended the relationship.

I’m not saying this to make you feel bad though, just to remind you a relationship is 50/50, and a good partner will try to meet you halfway, and if you’re a good partner you’ll do the same.

Beyond that, sometimes people are just not sexually compatible and sometimes that’s a dealbreaker for the relationship.
