>get nails done again
>black because it's safe and I have no sense for aesthetics
>girl next to me gets these pretty pink translucent nails done
>want to ask her what she got
>too scared to speak to real woman so don't

This exact situation happened 6 weeks ago... My life is going nowhere

doesn't help I suffer from chronic insomnia too so I constantly feel depressed and (mentally) feeble

Thanks for reading my blog post, fmstl
>>
I really want to get french tip nails but my stupid nails are fragile and break all the time so I don’t bother.
>>
You need a man to push you to be more fembrained
>>
>>44217462
aren't you literally wearing a skirt rn?
>>
>>44217462
Just do your own nails and experiment? It's fun and easy nona
>>
>>44217477
Buy press-ons, french nails are great for beginners since they usually come with tabs that make them easier to properly size and apply. They can tear the fuck out your nails if you're not careful though

Those are cute though! Me personally feel like fair skinned girls pair better with darker colors
>>
>>44217510
I might try it. Dont press ons look obviously fake though? I feel weird if they do.
>>
>>44217528
Well yeah, but but most French tip press-ons have a more translucent base that will more easily blend with your nail bed and look a bit more natural than solid or patterned press-ons. That being said, wearing fake nails is much more common now than it's ever been before and most people don't see them as anything other than cute.

>>44217462
anxietybrained
>>
>>44217477
Get gel nails nona, that's what I have in OP, they last 2 weeks

>>44217480
Literally, I wish I had one, but no man has ever hit on me, despite starting HRT at 17

>>44217488
Yeah, and so what

>>44217513
So cute... The rings look beautiful
Personally I find that light colours look prettiest in general, but I agree with you

>>44217589
I hate my life brained

Ive been using press on nails for years and no one had a clue on this board ever until I revealed it just now.

Paint your toe nails yourself, though, and keep them cut extra short.
Long toenails are nasty and press on toenails will not stand up to a typical day or wearing shoes much less actually doing anything.
>>
I haven't painted my nails yet but I want to try purple but like a light purple closer to pink and not a blueish purple
I don't want pointy long nails though that looks inconvenient and kimda scary is that malebrained? I just want pretty nails uwu
>>
>>44217733
What press ons are good to start with?
>>
boys aren't supposed to be wearing a skirt
>>
>>44217733
I used press-ons for a couple years but the maintenance is worse than natural nails and nail glue gets everywhere if you're not careful
>>
>>44217771
These are the ones I use.
Remember to bend them before application so they cling to your nail.

>>44217793
I used to work in wood flooring and I was a wargaming hobbyist before going on HRT, Im pretty capable with glue.
If you really struggle, apply the glue to a disposable peice of plastic first and then apply it to your nail with a Q-tip.
You do have to re-apply the nails regularly and they do fall off often, you get used to it. Its still better than paying 50$ for a manicure that gets ruined the moment you open a can or put on your seatbelt wrong. A press on that falls off. a broken manicured nail is devastating.

I have made threads criticising other people in the past, it's not because I wanted to troll, I just wanted to stop people from being delusional about their own fembrained/malebrained status.

Why? tttt and adjacent communities have this weird thing where they will they'll punch down on linux users for being malebrained whilst being unabashed puppy girls who collect anime figurines.

Originally I recognised this hypocrisy, and thought the malebrained vs fembrained debate was stupid, so I sought to accelerate the problem by attacking people for behaving in a malebrained fashion, in the hopes that we'd collectively decide to stop policing others behaviours, but then I ended convincing myself in the process

Nowadays I genuinely think being malebrained is bad, it's an artefact of a male upbringing, and therefore something that needs to be fixed. My goal is to make everyone understand and accept this problem so we can work together as a community to fix it. I want there to be /fembrained/ generals where nonas can work together to figure out how to reverse male socialisation and spare the next generation of tranners from the pain of being unable to socially assimilate.

idk, if you want to talk me out of this, now's your chance, I can't deny that I'm motivated by intense self hate. Or just call me retarded, that works too

It’s funny because I know more natal women in real life who use Linux than natal men (like 3 vs 2 but still). Like yes, it is kind of male brained, but if you are in tech spaces it really isn’t. Sure there are less women there but the same percent of women in tech probably use Linux as men.
I think there are some male brained things that are benign and don’t hurt, like tech interests and Linux, and other stuff that hurts a lot, like moid gooner habits.
>>
Not very malebrained, but damn girl I'm here to talk about nails.

I've been using the standard film-forming nitrocellulose lacquers for ages, but I can't bring myself to get gel or acrylics.

Am I the only one out there who gets the ick from acrylate?

Invite a friend out to get nails done together. That should help you to work up the social energies.
>>
Doing lacquer yourself (regular nail polish) isnt hard.
- Look up video tutorials.
- Get good supplies as that will help you learn faster.
- Keep your nails short and shaped properly to prevent breakage. Since you have to sit down to maintain them regularly, you can incorporate polish into the routine.
- USE CUTICLE OIL AND CARE FOR YOUR NAILS.
- As you get better at applying polish and caring for them, you can start growing nails longer. Having 5+ layers of base+color+top coat will thicken the nail and help protect against damage.

Don't use gel at home unless you know what you're doing. safe gel setups require 100+ dollar investment into brand-specific curing lamps, and gel is not safe to cure on your skin. You can get a severe allergy to not just polish, but surgical and medical supplies if you let this happen.

they're not that inconvenient if you're into having nails. People do arts/sewing/typing with them, and those are high dexterity activities. They can be annoying but they don't get in the way of daily life as much as guys think they do. The human brain is hardwired for tool use and that includes things like stupid long pointy nails.

Long nails are actually helpful when assembling electronics. Grew mine out once and gained the ability to do tasks I could've only done with precision tweezers.

Ultimately had to cut them because autism.
