hypothetically, if I've been hondosed for 6-7 years straight, is it possible to get better results by switching to a higher dosage (or injections vs pills)?

how do people take medication without knowing what a normal dosage is? maybe im just too much of a drug autist but i feel like you'd want to know the basic information about a medication you take daily.
