hello 4chan, it is I, the media understander! I am here to discuss the intersectionality of queerness and the backrooms (my faverite movie). Personally, I think it is much spookier when there is no monster in the maze
>>44238038what do you think about project hail mary
>>44238038Fuck off "explained" nigger. Art, and by extenstion media, is not a riddle to be solved, but an atmosphere to be inhaled.
>>44238060It’s my favorite movie ever, I wish I was that crab and Ryan Gosling kissed me like that
>>44238071Actually, I think you might be surprised at how many Easter eggs you might find that may led to secret alternate theories in your movie! For instance, what if The Backrooms was actually a dream sequence? Is Clark the chosen one?
>>44238038I agree with you Nina, I think that scene where Clark got anally graped was a trans allegory, not unlike the tv is glowing
>>44238292Yeah I remember that happening
>>44238038>I think it is much spookier when there is no monster in the mazei super agree the "entities" ruin the entire concept of the backroom imo
>>44238038obsession is a trans allegory
>>44238085hm yes very good i will now trust your opinion on all media 5ever, you should read/listen to the book it's even better imo
>>44238320I was reading creepypasta’s on this website before you were a glint in the milkman’s eye.
>>44238314You fucking faggots can go shill your bad movies for peasants on your own board.
>>44238071I agree with anon as David lynch as John Ford, art is experiential, the only mystery to understand is your own experience of it
>>44238312I too, am terrified of empty places
>>44238344John Ford was just Marion “John” Wayne’s creepy sugar daddy and then he betrayed him to HUAC. None of those movies are even good, and *you* haven’t seen them! This is a Spielberg movie, right? What is this, another whiny I’m feeling sorry for myself about divorce?
>>44238373Do you think I’ve never seen The Grapes of Wrath??
>>44238991You would probably argue that "Topper" is good too
>>44238060it was genuinely great and heart warming, its nice to live in a fantasy where all the worlds people can come together as one for a crisis even if its just a dream
>>44238991I think there's a false equivalency between what the American Film Institute qualifies to be good. Let's use the example I just used, Topper. It belongs on the list because it's a showcase of the linear progression of film technology since "The Invisible Man". But at the core of it? It as may as well be a fucking seth rogen movie, it's a dumb comedy about a henpecked banking executive that gets haunted by the former owners of his sports car - viewed through the lens of its own period, it has it's merits. But that doesn't mean it holds up, imho.
>>44239054You're forgetting it has prime Cary Grant, arguably the best actor of his generation. Whatever the movie tech of the time was, he made it accessible for an audience through the charisma of his performance.
>>44239138you're not wrong. I concede, that's a better argument.
