i really want to darken my skin, partly because i have really curly natural hair. stunning brave drag queens who do it specifically to entertain mostly urban white audiences never seem to receive any criticism for it, so why cant i? i wont claim im a different race, i wont claim i didnt grow up where i did (i hate where i grew up anyway), i just wanna change how i look

theres a comic about being trans tumblrites share called "pills that turn you green". and yet, in the real world, if such a thing were real, it would be decried as colorist to take such pills

how do i reconcile that such a thing would be inherently wrong with materialism + bodily autonomy
