Any other corpotrannies here? I love my job, I get to schmooze with the C-suite all day, and workplace politics are fun. There's a foid who keeps stirring up drama, so I poised myself to be the one to handle it. Whenever she does something or needs something, my scope expands. My political power has grown massively over the passed few weeks, and the C-suite will often defer to my judgment should I voice an opinion. My terrible childhood and the fact that I never had any friends being a tranny has finally paid off -- I now have no scruples because I know what this world is really made of. Are any trannies here successful in their careers? Climbing the corporate ladder is table stakes compared to transitioning in a family that doesnt love you.
if this isn't a larp, explain howt. sick of being a trade tranny
>>44252501i was white collar when i started im not sure if its possible to do trades --> corpobut anyways its about visibility and filling niches, you identify the gaps in leadership and you fill them yourself. eventually you become the point person and indispensable, and when someone else has to step away for whatever reason you're the most obvious promotion. It's not that hard
How do you avoid constantly thinking about suicide, knowing how meaningless and harmful being a corporate tranny is?
>>44252470I'm more of the lower class/artistic/unemployed variety. Being a corpotranny sounds so fun and cute, getting to wear officewear all the time, be in nice clean environments with AC for work, clicking around on your computer and reading emails. Must be gender-affirming to have a job like that.
I work for the UK government
>>44252470Corpo tranny washout here. I started as an earnest worker drone, content to keep my head down and ask questions when I didn’t understand. Eventually I started taking on the most difficult projects because I had figured out the normal work and it began to bore me. These projects put me in the periphery of the C-Suite exec that I ultimately reported to. My direct superior ended up resigning and I started being invited into the room for the prep before big meetings. Exec took a liking to me and she started making sure I was in the room for the meetings, even if just to shake hands and take notes. I’m a high functioning autistic, so it took me a bit to realize she was showing me off. It didn’t hit me until I was pulled into the later stages of a dinner party with the rest of the C-suite and other heir-apparents, including my direct boss. The money went from meh, to good, to the point where it began to accrue in a bank account en masse. While I originally skated by on finesse and creativity, the work began to consume every semblance of a private life that remained. Nothing I could consoom could fill the swirling void in my soul that work had become. Tiffany and Cartier have no value outside of what you assign them, and $300 shampoo doesn’t really do its job that much better than $80 shampoo. The expectation of treating new hires like subhuman trash that I had so artfully avoided for so long became unavoidable. I was expected to treat the team I had built, the team loved, and the team that trusted me, as a disposable asset to be used up.I began having panic attacks and ended up having a dissociative episode after my exec said some particularly sociopathic shit about one of my favorites. I walked away shortly after.Took the money I had and used it to have some time to myself. Time for friends, time for family, time for hobbies, time for love. Leveraged my resume to secure a meaningful, if mediocre paying, job with people I liked. No regrets.
>>44255971How did you leverage your corpo work into doing something meaningful? I would love to find a meaningful job but I’m too young and inexperienced to have useful skills.
>>44252470Fuck capitalism T. Stupid stealth tranny teacher
>>44252470You can get the rope as well. Proximity to power will not protect you.
>>44256030Not useful, I know, but it was my job title and the company I held it at that got me my current job. I stayed in the finance side of things, so my day-to-day work is still whatever, but the company I’m doing it at does good stuff and that’s enough for me.
>>44252523I already think about suicide because I'll never find love or have kids. Corporate power leveling at least gives me something to set my focus on while also paying the bills and looking productive to my family.>>44254681Yes it's nice! I like to wear skirts and necklaces and other cute things to work. I get compliments on my fits from my cisf coworkers>>44255172Sounds boring>>44255971Did you go to work looking to make friends? If an employee is underperforming you fire them. Do you think you are running a charity? When the company took on external investment, it did so on the condition that it would turn a profit and maximize growth. Every relationship at work is fake and transactional, its just a part of the game. Maybe I'm just cold, I've never had many close friends, my entire life I have zero to at most 2 friends at a time.>>44256151Atlas shrugged.>>44256162Its not just proximity to power, I am a corporate power broker.
>>44255971One thing I do want to know is, at what point can I stop pretending to be normal? I think I might have ASPD (psychopathy). I'd say I mask pretty well at work (been masking my whole life), but there are moments where the mask slips and its tiring to keep it up all day. Is there a level in the corporate ladder where I can stop pretending and just be a psychopath
>>44254681Bro just called office work feminine
>>44256680Yes, showing up to work every day with blazers and pencil skirts and clicky high heels and writing emails is very feminine
>>44256599That makes sense, I guess I’ll keep an eye out for a good opportunity.
>>44256680men used to hunt and shit now they just pretend juggling emails and excel is masculine because the concept of masculinity has been so conflated with making money that these castrated idiots overwork their asses on useless jobs out of their "own" volition. and then they have to spend twenty hours a week on a gym to be the most roided out tard in the office as if that means anything
>>44256642No, I didn’t enter the work force to make friends, especially not in my field.Honestly, this is too heady a convo to earnestly have on a Tibetan Bowl Shaping forum. Not to say that I don’t think your view has no value, I mean you kinda just stated basic finance at me, but slotting that into the grand scheme of money and the power dynamics associated with it is way too much to do in this format, you know? That said, I do suggest you give The Prince a read. And if you have already read it, maybe reread and meditate on it a bit further. I think you come off as a bit myopic, and trust me, there are no shortage of myopic assholes who are willing to destroy in the corpo world.>>44256673I hate myself for typing this, but if you actually want to stand on top of anything other than a pile of ashes, the mask is functionally a part of you. You will only be able to lift it when you know everyone in the room is like you.
>>44256151I feel the same way, but fuck has teaching become a miserable job. I taught for 8 years before quitting this year due to burn out and the need to troon out. I legit have some PTSD from that career. I'm never going back. Nearly all of my colleagues were some level of burnout.
>>44257438Myopic how? My focus on the bottom line obscuring the need to maintain useful friendships? I do keep people around if they are useful to me in the long run.
