I am a cis man on HRT. I'm not a woman, nor will I ever be. And no, lest you assume otherwise it's not a matter of "not passing"--I pass--my brain is just too male. While I'm content with my body, it pains me tremendously that I can't be a normal guy. Women and men alike look down on me because I don't have vaginal sex, because I'm an otaku, because I lack any positive masculine qualities. I get told to 'self-improve" and "pick up a hobby" but that doesn't help. For example, when I do something as innocent as cook as a hobby my male roommate (who is Normal and Functional as a Male) would laugh at me for wasting my time, look down on me because I'm defective. All the meme advice acts as though the cause of my deficiencies isn't my ontology instead of people scrambling to find a post-hoc justification. Is there any way for me to exist and be content or am I gonna have to kill myself?
>>44261175Hi cis man on HRT.Genuine question and I hope this doesn't come across as prying, but are you planning to have SRS some day? I only ask because I probably would've also been a cis man on HRT if getting SRS was an option for them back then. Since I really wanted it I just kind of pretended to be a trans woman who needed SRS...
>>44262019Not OP but no. If I had or wanted a vagina I would just be a woman (i.e., not a cis guy on HRT, but a trans woman). They're sort of mutually exclusive.

>>44264980NTA>I don't consider myself a woman even hears after, though admittedly it's a little harder to consider myself a man nowIt's okay to be a failed male. No, seriously, it is. I'm the same age as you are. I had srs in 2024 and continue to live as male. The only real "problem" is that not even most of the queer spaces are welcoming but you get used to it.I have a loving bf, a good job and an okay social life. If "ladyboy" had been acceptable in my country, I'd want to be that. But since it's not, there's not much incentive for me to do anything more other than take my shots because now it would be a bad idea to stop.
>>44262159>how the fuck am i supposed to justify being on hrt if i just have mild gender dysphoria at best you're not supposed to tbhon, it's not a miracle drug or something like that.
>>44262159>hate categorically hate pharmaceuticalsBut some of them are fun.
cis men on estrogen, do you experience (reverse) dysphoria? I’ve been on estrogen for a few months now and I think I feel a lot worse on it. It feels like I cannot dissociate my feelings of dysphoria away anymore but maybe there’s a chance that I am not trans and experiencing reverse dysphoria?? What does being on hrt feel like for you?
>>44268841marcelle is a really pretty name. you're fucking awesome and that retard calling u a trannie should just fucking do their injections and shut the fuck up.
>>44269390>do you experience (reverse) dysphoria?Nope.>been on estrogen for a few months now and I think I feel a lot worse on itReevaluate after at least a year. Give your body time to adjust to the new hormonal make-up.>cannot dissociate my feelings of dysphoria away anymoreStop trying. You don't need to dissociate anymore, anon.>there’s a chance that I am not trans and experiencing reverse dysphoria??Neah. Lowkey I don't even believe reverse dysphoria exists. It's just guilt.Stop ascribing magical properties to a chemical compound.>What does being on hrt feel like for you?It gives me what I wanted.I wanted to be physically softer, slightly less horny and have better hair.I'm getting what I wanted plus enhanced androphilia. I was always a bottomfag but the way I enjoy it now is way better than 4 years ago when I started.
>>44269502>Stop trying. You don't need to dissociate anymore, anon.I wish I could but it is just so ridiculously painful. I wake up and I feel like a freak and just want to cry. I can’t look in the mirror without noticing my horribly male bone structure and wishing I could break them all. I don’t know why I ever thought I could pass as a woman one day. > Stop ascribing magical properties to a chemical compound.I’m just thinking, what if my brain is trying to tell me that estrogen is the wrong sex hormone? I’m very bad at understanding my emotions, it was even worse pre-hrt. >It gives me what I wanted.that sounds nice, I’m happy for you ^w^I probably want the physical changes too but it’s the emotional ones I struggle with :(
>>44269578>it was even worse pre-hrtThere's your clue.I didn't struggle emotionally that much but seeing that I like my emotions a bit more was a good indicator that hrt is at least neutral if not mildly positive.>I don’t know why I ever thought I could pass as a woman one dayIt's okay to accept you won't and still want the physical changes. You get ?% progress instead of 0%.>I can’t look in the mirror without noticing my horribly male bone structure and wishing I could break them allAnd yet you claim you suffer from "reverse" dysphoria? Anon, please. You're noticing the bones because you no longer notice the face, the skin, the hair which now no longer read as bad/incongruent as before. What you need is a shift in mentality. Accept you're ngmi as a woman and learn to appreciate the progress you're making and can still realistically make even if you're not getting 100% of what you want.Life is a set of a trade-offs. Nobody gets 100% of what they want in all areas.>wake up and I feel like a freak and just want to cryCry, and then after you're done crying, realize that the shame you feel is largely the result of bullshit from others. There's nothing objectively wrong with being a more feminine guy and there's nothing objectively wrong with taking steps to present closer to your perception of self.Get the shame out of your system. If crying is your mechanism, then do that."I can't" is not real. You can. You absolutely can.
>>44269783>I like my emotions a bit more was a good indicator that hrt is at least neutral if not mildly positive.my issue is that I don’t. How I’ve made sense of it is that I was always experiencing pretty strong dysphoria but t made it largely inaccessible and helped me dissociate. As a result I also don’t have any memories past onset of puberty. Starting e made me feel the whole weight of it at once. >And yet you claim you suffer from "reverse" dysphoria? Anon, please. that’s why I was asking about the experiences of other people. I’m not sure if it’s standard gender dysphoria or if it’s reverse dysphoria masking as such. I am not unaware of how ridiculous that sounds. >You're noticing the bones because you no longer notice the face, the skin, the hair which now no longer read as bad/incongruent as before.giwtwm, unfortunately everything reads as incongruent and wrong at the moment. I have not been on hrt long enough for fat distribution to happen and I am still working on the other aspects of presentation. it’s mainly external issues (such as multiple hair dressers refusing to give me a feminine haircut) but it’s still really depressing. >There's nothing objectively wrong with being a more feminine guyThere isn’t, but I would much rather be a woman than a man. >What you need is a shift in mentality. Accept you're ngmi as a womanidk that seems transmisogynistic? would you say hons generally are ngmi as women too? I’m not saying you are, I just don’t know if it helps my mentality if I really am trans. your other comments are really kind tho, thank you very much <3
>>44269390in some ways yes, its mostly socially triggered. I am much more at peace with my body and when by myself, my mental health is way better the mental effects were pretty immediate and a release of all this anxiety i had too but slowly over time that anxiety has come back in a new form where it's triggered by being scared people can see my booba and hiding them and the stresses that come with that. Actually i said im more at peace w my body and it's true it feels like im no longer walking up an escalator that is going down and way way too fast, my bodys going the right direction but the more feminine my body gets the more i can't help but focus on the masculine elements and it makes them stand out even more which it basically like increasing dysphoria in some way ig.these things can lead to waves of wtf am i doing i need to stop asap and man up. idk if i answered your question or blog posted
>>44269954>Starting e made me feel the whole weight of it at onceCommon effect. HRT does make repressed feelings surface. There is no going back, though. You'll still feel this way even if you stop. The only way forward is through.>unfortunately everything reads as incongruent and wrong at the momentThe uncanny valley can be brutal to some. But, again, the only way forward is through.>but I would much rather be a woman than a manYeah, well, few get everything they want in life. Realizing that is part of the process known as growing up.Most people would rather be highly attractive and rich. Most people also realize that that ain't happening and move on.>idk that seems transmisogynisticI don't care, quite frankly. If you think ygmi as a woman, go ahead and keep on trying and maybe you'll be proven right. But if you think or know that you're ngmi, then it's healthier to accept that, grow up and adjust your expectations to what it still is possible.>would you say hons generally are ngmi as women too?No. It does also depend on what one means by "hon".The standards of real life are way more relaxed than this board would have you think. Perfectly fine cis-passing trannies are labelled hons on this board. But also awesome passoids don't make it as women because of their shit mentality and self-hatred.So no, I don't make generalized statements. Life is nuanced.>if I really am transDrop this mentality yesterday. There is no such thing as "trutrans". There's only "what works, even partially".There are people who transition without any dysphoria and make it as the opposite gender. Yet I'm supposed to believe those people aren't "really trans" because they never felt distressed and they didn't imagine themselves as the opposite gender in childhood/teenage.Fuck it, if I ever find out that I can make it as a woman, even if in older age, you damn right I'm gonna try. Will I be "trutrans" then if that ends up happening? It's all bullshit, imo.
>>44268841>i will say i do feel somewhat pressured to call myself one or the other the longer i do thisIf I may ask, pressure from whom? Are you worried about people noticing the changes before you tell anyone what's going on?>that’s reasonable, especially having been on hormones as long as you haveMaybe it is reasonable, I just don't think I'll ever fully view myself as a woman even if I am one socially for the rest of my life. If SRS didn't make me fully switch I'm not sure what'll ever fully change my perspective. Maybe marrying a man? Idk >>44269174>It's okay to be a failed male. No, seriously, it is. I'm the same age as you are. I had srs in 2024 and continue to live as male. How does that work for you? I honestly cannot pass as a man anymore. I only put in marginal effort to look like a normal woman though mostly so I don't get clocked as a tranny.>The only real "problem" is that not even most of the queer spaces are welcoming but you get used to it.True. I don't interact with queer spaces at all anymore besides this one.>I have a loving bf, a good job and an okay social life.I'm happy for you, anon. >>44270266>I honestly cannot pass as a man anymoreWell, I still do. I'm 175cm and my voice is unlikely to ever be cispassing as a woman unless there's some groundbreaking innovation in VFS.Even if I put on a dress (and I do quite often) I'm just read as a flaming faggot or a simply a gnc man.Only if I maximize effort I actually pass, and even then not always. It would be an unreasonable complication for me to do that full time.Unironically I'm at the point where trying to be an actual transwoman would be a restriction for me. I had thought it'd be the opposite (and it usually is the opposite for most, just not for me).SRS did make my face look more fem but just not enough.I've made peace with it. At least I like my sexuality a lot now so the whole effort was definitely not in vain and would do it allover again.>Have you ever legally changed anything for convenience sake?No because, again, I don't pass.
