Phenotypes are literally defined by observable traits, not by genes it's not pseudoscience to say that people from different places look different. And differences in appearance aren't just random, they're the result of genetics. Even within a defined genetic group, there's going to be subgroups and variation within the group, which lead to phenotypic differences.
