Why is subculture so heavily intertwined with transsexualism? You're either a boymoder or a puppygirl or a tradcath/ortho or a goth girl or really into computer science, and if you don't fit into any category like this, your transness is called into question.
Why is there no schema for a trans woman who just. Transitioned and lives as a regular woman without waving the flag of transition or centering her life around a particular subculture?
It just makes me feel like I'm not really trans and instead a traumatized cis guy.
>>

yeah. when i started honmoding a bunch of trans women kept assigning me as 'puppy'. i leaned into it due to insecurity for a bit but it's just so infantilising and reductive.

>Why is subculture so heavily intertwined with transsexualism?
It's not

>if you don't fit into any category like this, your transness is called into question.
That's not true.
>>
>>44343813
>and if you don't fit into any category like this, your transness is called into question
I'm not really sure I've seen this be used as a criteria for trutrans games. I mean as in, the general presence of a subcultural identity, obvs people say stuff like puppygirls are faketrans or whatever
>>
>>44343833
>It's not
>That's not true
I've been told I'm not trans multiple times because I didn't fit into a particular category, have nothing substantial in common with particular subcategories of trans women. That I'm just a weird autistic transvestite (male).

>>44343846
>I'm not really sure I've seen this be used as a criteria for trutrans games.
Let me tell you that it's true because I've experienced it and often.

because you're chronically online. everyone online trans or not, is put into their own little box. Subcultures is what makes the Internet the Internet.
>>
>>44343813
With *mtts.
Because XYs cannot be transsexual, and psychotic pseudodysphoria for them spreads via social contagion.
>>
>>44343867
It's easy to throw out the thought terminating cliche of "you're too online" but even IRL I didn't fit in with trans women, they still "clustered" in a way that I do not, and they ostracized me.
>>
>>44343813
>if you don't fit into any category like this, your transness is called into question
i have never personally seen someone's transness called into question for not being a stereotype, this sounds ridiculous
>Why is there no schema for a trans woman who just. Transitioned and lives as a regular woman without waving the flag of transition or centering her life around a particular subculture?
there most definitely is. what you have described actually is just another "type" of trans person. they call themselves HSTS and have been posting this sentiment on this board for years.
>It just makes me feel like I'm not really trans and instead a traumatized cis guy
i think you're just retarded desu
>>
>>44343852
you've often experienced that people tell you blatantly that you are not actually trans because you do not fit into one of several meme labels?
>>
>>44343813
Where trans people gather it's either because they're not fully mature yet and they feel scared and I'm danger from cis people, or because they may never pass for some reason and cannot grow out of those same fears for whatever reason. Where ever there are large groups of autistic people they like to try recreating tribal lines which may be used to instantly reduce and categorize any other person from that group. It doesn't matter if those generalizations are reductive or harmful, because it makes them feel safer to pretend at some intuition on the character of people they come into contact with, after being plainly shown their whole lives that they're basically illiterate retards who cant intuit others' intentions or feelings without a summary being written down and explained to them.
>>
>>44343882
>i have never personally seen someone's transness called into question for not being a stereotype, this sounds ridiculous
It happens to me regularly.
>there most definitely is. what you have described actually is just another "type" of trans person. they call themselves HSTS and have been posting this sentiment on this board for years.
Well I'm not HSTS, I'm autosexual and not attracted to men like HSTS, cis androphilic women, or even gay men are. I'm not a doll or privy to ballroom culture, I'm just a natal male who took HRT and got surgeries (that weren't SRS) and date men. Because of this, I'm called a bipedo, or an incel, or a transvestite skinwalker, or a porn addict, etc.

This is actually a great example of what I'm talking about, that I'm dismissed and my womanhood is denied because I'm *not* [subculture].

>>44343896
>you've often experienced that people tell you blatantly that you are not actually trans because you do not fit into one of several meme labels?
I think you're taking it a bit too literally. In real life it's not like people will literally say "you're not a puppygirl? You're not trans!" but they will give me the cold shoulder and leave me out because I date men and don't care about speedrunning and Contra and I'm not a based lesbian.
>>
>>44343813
Kgb>>44343830
That is what happens when you tell fetishists they are trans without gd they try get their fetish lived
>>
>>44343944
who denied your womanhood? all I said was that there are enough trans people who just want to be normal women that it is it's own meme. you don't have to actually identify as HSTS, it's just common for people who have that perspective
>In real life it's not like people will literally say "you're not a puppygirl? You're not trans!" but they will give me the cold shoulder and leave me out because I date men and don't care about speedrunning and Contra and I'm not a based lesbian.
it sounds like the problem is that you're trying to befriend people with whom your only shared interest is transitioning??
>>
>>44343940
This would make sense, I'm a little over half a decade in but supposedly people who attack me for not conforming adequately [to a given subculture] have been on it for a while too. I'm not sure how to explain the fact that they still do it to me.

>>44344013
>it sounds like the problem is that you're trying to befriend people with whom your only shared interest is transitioning??
No, I don't think that's a fair characterization. That was one particular example where I went to a trans-related event because I was urged by multiple people "you should talk to trans people!!"
When I talk to people with shared interests who Aren't Insane, usually those wind up being cis straight or bisexual men.
It's also a little bit challenging to navigate for Obvious Reasons. But I digress.
>>
>>44344013
“waaaah why do people who share interests and activities make friends with each other instead of me, a woman with no discernible personality other than being #notliketheothertrannies”

op do u hear urself? this isn’t a tranny thing this is just a human thing. if you want to make friends, try developing some interests and then finding people who share those interests.
>>
>>44344096
I have tried that actually and it didn't work.
>>
>>44343813
the modern internet is built around subculture
there is no place for normals to normal together and talk about normalness the only things you will ever see are Not Normal (though normal != good)
>>
>>44344260
>the modern internet is built around subculture
I've been on 4chan for over a decade and a half, if I attempt to articulate any of the things I like or why I was here in the first place I get attacked. There's no space for me IRL--which is why I came online--and there's no space for me online anymore, either, after the cultural colonization that occurred.
So you can see why I'd get a bit fed up right
>>
>>44343813
Have you considered that you're spending too much time with other babytrans instead of normal people

>>44343877
You have autism
Normies are obsessed with "identity" which is why they think being trans is the same thing. They lack the capacity to process you as an individual rather than a member of some meatspace rpg class. You're not kelly, you're alice the puppygirl, or vlad the emo, or becky ann the tradwife. Your group is obligated to hold certain politics and hate certain other groups. You can see it in how diligently feminists signal their membership in the female group, policing entry to their subculture based on "socialization" as though that's something innate. Think "If you aren't voting for harris, you ain't black"
Get friends who don't do this and you'll be much happier
>>
>>44343813
Because it's a normal progression. One goes from ugly guy, to boymoder, to puppy girl, to Kitty girl and then to girl girl
>>
>>44343875
Nobody is XY
>>
>>44345700
>other
I'm not babytrans.

>You have autism
I'm not autistic.

>Get friends who don't do this and you'll be much happier
I know a few people online (incidentally the only trans people I've had pleasant experiences with), but they're few and far between. Not in that I take those few I can count on one hand for granted, but rather "I'm frustrated with trans culture being this way."
>>
>>44344117
What are you interests and where did you meet people who shared them?
>>
>>44347330
I tried groups at uni, book clubs.
