i wouldn't even engage a politcal opponent in a discussion on trans issues on the grounds that it's irrelevent when groceries are unaffordable. all of the things they claim sociallism or communism will bring are all the things here under capitalism. bills are out of control. healthcare is unteneble.they want to argue about trannies and immigrants because they don't want to address the real issues causing average joe's to struggle financially. fixing the economy isn't fixing it so average joe can afford to live. fixing it is so the most amount of wealth funnels into the upper eschelons while average joe is given just enough to survive and stay complacent. but no more.we have mayor mandami delivering on promise after promise. did trump deliver on his promises? did he being energy costs down? did he bring gas prices down? did he bring grocery prices down? no. he fucked you and you liked it because he's /famous/. you're part of the problem. mandami put rent freezes up. he put up new taxes. he's starting 5 new state run grocery stores with retail locked at 30% below market value. he has done great things for the city of new york. he represents the change americans truly want to see. but the old guard is so sunk in their ways that they're afraid change would mean renouncing their privelege. those in ivory towers don't just leave them peacefully.
