My dad who's a lifelong Marxist atheist won't accept me as trans. He won't gender me correctly, keeps deadnaming me and will just aggressively change the subject when transness is brought up at best or fly into a rage at me for transitioning at worst. I've been transitioning for about 7 years now, even my mom who's an insane almost neo fascist catholic self hating black woman genders me correctly. Yet whenever he emotionally blackmails me to visit him...It works, I just can't bring myself to hate or abandon him, he has nothing, he lives a miserably lonely and isolated life, I don't even argue against him anymore.I just want to be his daughter, why is it so hard for him to accept that I'm that now?
