the lgbt makes me feel even more alone. something is telling me I need to let go of the hope of making online friends.

It's 2026, not 2012. making friends just isn't possible anymore online. Especially in the lgbt, it's too fucking saturated and people are too into themselves to actually give a shit about one another. I think I'm the loneliness tranny in the world, and I'm partly to blame for it. I spent so much time in tranner spaces HOPING and PRAYING I would eventually find my place, but I never did. It's alright though, this is just how the Internet is now. Narcissists, bots, ai, and advertisments. Good luck everyone.

First of all, anonymous message boards are not the place to make friends. Try literally anywhere else.

But second of all yes, I agree. The internet today is fundamentally different from what it was back in 2012. I come from a small Balkan country and back in the day you had a local forum for just about anything you can think of. You could easily meet people in your area / country online, get to know them, and then later transfer those friendships IRL.

Nowadays all of that is dead and we're all stuck on various global social networks. I want to interact with people who I actually have a chance of meeting IRL, but I'm stuck talking to burgers instead.

I genuinely do not know how to fix this.

the sad thing is, I don't think there is a way to fix it. nowadays, the best way to makes friends is through irl stuff like school work, clubs, but even then, everything PURELY relies on luck and a mutual interest from another person. So making friends since 2016 has been extremely EXTREMELY difficult.

I am an artist in multiple fandoms, yet I still have no friends. I really yearn for the pre 2014 Internet, when people were actually willing to become friends. now everyone either already has their little cliches made or they're just too fucking busy to hang out. It sucks, the modern Internet fucking blows. It's like, only for entertainment and learning atp. even those are pretty scuffed.

>already has their little cliches made
so true. also what the first post said about anonymous message boards is true too, you can be here for sooo many years and see so much of site history and have nothing to show for it. you can only have shallow connections here unless if you go out of your way to make them deeper but the people here tend to suck in so many ways (e.g. by being groomers or just having too many problems). forums are rare and hard to find (besides r*ddit but fuck that) and you dont know if they have like burdensome mods/site culture/users/etc. unless if you lurk a lot but FUCK lurking, at worst it feels like reading old english texts like beowulf or even shakespeare (who is a hackety hack but academics suck him off because he is old and other academixs did the same) and at best its like, so boring, like who tf cares about seeing other people have convos convos are meant to be participated in willingly excluding yourself is horrible. if you need to lurk theres already a problem but everywhere theres a problem. i forgot where i was going with this but fuck the internet

You have to be digitally extraverted to make friends online. Haha, lord what a sick twist.
2012ish and before internet had cool niche forums and IRCs, those vanished or are ultra-closed to outsiders now. Discord servers are a cesspool.

>tranner spaces
Alright, you're to blame for that one.
What do you expect from those? I mean really, gather a bunch of people looking for validation and lo!

offline is so hard too, especially since if you stop seeing them regularly you have to move it online and then it just falls apart. also, friends in general are just so hard to deal with, i never know how much effort to put in, where to improve, how to know if im improving compared to past friendships, etc. right now i think i will just troon out by myself and try again once i become pretty, i only really wanna talk to my psychiatrist and therapist these days. and honestly ive thought of ways to try to improve the internet, i have one idea that might slightly help (thank god i am going into compsci) but yeah i genuinely dont know why the internet is so shit because everything feels so shit, media, people outside, it makes me scared and sad, and even in the moments where i find good friends or good communties they close down or i lose them and in the end its back to square one

I struggled to make online friends even back in the day, I've always been a bit of a digital recluse. Now that I feel like coming out of my shell a bit more the internet has turned into a complete hellscape.

there is nothing good on the internet at all. if you go "deeper" all you will find is horrific depraved people (pedos) and you will wonder how these people somehow have a strong foothold but fun communities don't. fuck the internet and fuck people. also fml
>>
>>44597780
I dunno where you go on the Internet buddy, but there's plenty of just normal people out there.

As long as you can find some local hobby community and join it, you are golden.
But it has to be someplace whre you have an identity, not here.

My main issue as a tranny is that if I talk to men in hobby spaces, I'm always worried that they will start hitting on me (as many have). I just wanna talk hobbies, not get railed.
>>
>>44597856
you're trying to trick me. you're trying to groom me like all those other people did
