this is literally me except im 20 with more mental illnesses and not seeking employment, what psych meds do you take nona?
>>
>>44605158
Diy buy some prozac or something, Jesus. There are online pharmacies, if you can afford hrt maybe you can afford generic psych meds
>>
>>44605192
Ritalin, venlafaxine, wellbutrin
Each one raising heartbeat and blood pressure, each one makes you shit weird
Also got xanax but I only take it when I need to suppress my male anger and not off my abuser
>>
>>44605245
i take wellbutrin too with prozac, i want to see if i can get higher doses for both though. id want to get adderall and antipsychotics as well but i dont think i can unfortunately
>>
>>44605245
Jesus Christ you're stimmed up. Wouldn't you do better with something like modafinil instead of Ritalin? Do you even enjoy the noradrenergic effects?
>>
>>44605281
Avoid venlafaxine like the plague, missing one dose makes you feel like a living corpse, brain zaps included
>>44605283
I'm rarely taking Ritalin actually, because it shoots my bpm above 110 (95-105 is my baseline lol), only take it when I absolutely need to lock in for the day, or don't have caffeine. Shit's expensive here and in constant shortage.
Difficult to say if I enjoy it. I can't sleep more than 7h, which is an improvement, since I used to sleep 12-15h. Other than that I feel like I can more easily force myself to do stuff, but it still doesn't come naturally and my mind still isn't quiet. Also I randomly just get sleepy anyway throughout the day lol

Serious question, would you be willing to trade off serotonin (anxiety tolerance) for more focus, or switch to prozac instead to potentially reduce your medication load? Prozac has a secondary antagonistic function at a particular serotonin receptor that reduces the brain fog that regular SSRIs cause. Or have you considered switching to something like Guanfacine or Clonidine that would give you more focus and reduce your heart rate? They work by stimulating your brains noradrenaline receptors directly, and at the same time reducing your body load.

I might need to try something else than Ritalin because I genuinely don't feel like it's doing what it's supposed to, at the dose I have I'd expect it to work
When it comes to SSRIs I only really had escitalopram early on, and the thing about my anxiety is that I'm mostly just anxious of being seen and perceived at all, so idk how much of it is just fucked up brain chemistry, or if it's dysphoria related. If it's the latter, then the obvious answer would be to actually start doing shit in this direction (though the lack of motivation and general predisposition for doomerism doesn't help, also my current living circumstances are gonna make it even more complicated).
The more retarded part of my brain is wondering if maybe the whole gender thing for me is more of a side effect/an explanation I came up with because I could gaslight myself into thinking that there's an easy fix for my life (which I'm getting over these days actually, because it sounds dumb+being treated as a woman by close friends and online has been actually a source of otherwise rare good feelings)

Well here's what I'll tell you about gender and being trans. You can't control what you want from your body, but you can control what you do about it. And the goal is to be happy, healthy, and socially integrated. I'm not a medical provider, but you should choose what makes you happiest because no psych med can do that for you, they just take away the pain or stimulate you.
Based on your physical issues, it sounds like your primary imbalance right now, medicated, is too much noradrenaline in the wrong places (overstimmed, racing heart, hard to think), and too little dopamine (motivation, enjoyment). If you're genuinely missing some level of motivation, I would highly recommend trying to switch up your medications. Effexor sounds like it's making you even more anxious. Wellbutrin was a mixed bag for me, but if you need tonic dopamine increases and you can tolerate the other side effects, it could still be useful. I would genuinely consider trying prozac instead of effexor, and modafinil, armodafinil, or concerta instead of Ritalin. If you still need focus and not energy (distracting thoughts, racing mind) then try Guanfacine (preferred) or Clonidine.

Hi nona im 25 and i have all that shit too, except im a poon.
genuinely I think you should try Adderall, it fixed my shit and I felt the least depressed in my life in the first week of being on it because it felt like my brain was working for the first time ever. You should look into it if you have the inattentive subtype.
Other than that... I have tried Prozac for like a week and it gave me insomnia and fucked with my head so I stopped. Wellbutrin doesn't seem to do anything for me. I have no experience with venlefaxine or ritalin but I have heard that the other ADHD medications like Ritalin are not as effective as Adderall for certain types/genetic variants of ADHD.
you should at least consider switching and seeing if it works any better... because it will probably help a lot with the motivation issues and executive dysfunction. also DIY E!!!!!!!!!!!

Adderall fixes this too btw
