>survey for trans women
>it's just a gay guy
>"we would like to see if you are eligible to take this survey. do you identify as transgender?"
>no, I'm transsex-
>"so no, okay. what is your gender identity?"
>I wouldn't say I have a 'gender identity', so that's not applicable to me, but I'm a woma-
>"prefer not to answer, got it. and what was your assigned sex at birth? that is, what was ORIGINALLY put on your ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"
>...........male
>"thank you! it looks like you are not eligible to take this survey. goodbye!"
>refuse to be silenced.

>shit that didnt and will not ever happen for 500$ please
>>
A survey guy interrupted you?

No?
>>
>>44605437
this happened to me too
>>
Sorry I probably didn't make it clear... but if you reply no to it asking if you are transgender or if your gender identity is female, it doesn't let you take the survey, therefore leaving no room for anyone who doesn't like using those terms, such as me
>>
>>44605426
i fucking HATE the term transfem or transfeminine, it just makes me seethe. i'm a (trans) woman, not a fucking transfem, the word transfem makes me think of sissies and femboys
>>
>>44605486
Me too. It implies the existence of someone whose gender is "feminine" and equates me to that. Even if you wanna say that non-binary people who transition to have female characteristics can fit under that label, by that person's own logic I am NOT that. I am a FEMALE WOMAN, not a fucking "transfem"

Guys, these trolls are designed for twitter. Nobody here gives a fuck about the stupid naming convention shit. That is a purely performative issue and they only care about it on sites with upvotes or downvotes.

I found the survey.
If you answer "No" to "Do you identify as a transgender person?" but select "Woman" under "gender identity" and "Male" as your AGAB, it still lets you take the survey. I can understand taking issue with the term "Transgender" vs "Transexual" but saying you don't have a gender identity is about as stupid as saying you don't have pronouns.
>>
>>44605636
No it's not, it's not an "identity". If it just said "gender" it would be fine

>it's not an "identity"
In what fucking universe is a basic piece of demographic information not your identity? If it added that word when it asked you your race would you have been like "No, I don't have one"? I'm gonna start asking people what name they identify as and see if they're like "I wouldn't say I have a 'name identity', so that's not applicable to me, but I'm Mark".

i am a woman not a transgender and if the people operating the study don't know why that's important (or worse and more likely actively reject that it is) they don't deserve my response
but this is apparently a hiv study and i have zero confidence in any of the transgender-hiv studies to produce useful data (most produce elevated rates by only studying homeless black trans women in atlanta and the rest ignore that srs even exists)
i hate how so much of healthcare is fighting this idea that we need super special treatment so we can get the normal treatment any other woman would automatically deserve and get. i've been refused treatment for bv based on the results of one of these studies despite positive tests (which i had to push for). it's maddening and i'd be better off if the state of the art was to just ignore my history entirely and treat me as any other female patient
>>
>>44606460
Assuming you're the same person as >>44605683 , none of that has to do with you having a "gender identity" or not. And as I said in my earlier post, you can still be eligible for the survey even if you say you don't consider yourself "transgender".

>i hate how so much of healthcare is fighting this idea that we need super special treatment so we can get the normal treatment any other woman would automatically deserve and get
This is real though. As someone who works in healthcare it's fucked how ignorant they all are.
>>
>>44606641
i'm not her but i agree that the first question really encapsulates all the other issues we face in healthcare. there's no point continuing because the refusal to engage with us as we actually live means all the rest of the questions will be misguided at best and the eventual paper will only create more confident ignorance
what gets to me is that the ignorance doesn't need to exist. if instead of "well trans women don't have real vaginas so what could i do here" they had said "well bv is the most commom gyn infection and i have a test and treatment" it would have taken a week instead of 18 months to cure me. but that requires admitting that the sex change was successful and that i'm subject to female diseases now. this study is borne out of the view that we're hyper fem gay men, and i guarantee despite being about our sexual experiences will not capture what i just said.

I’ve never met anyone that identifies as transsexual in this day and age that wasn’t insufferable
>>

Why the fuck would you ever reply to dubiously official information gathering requests about your gender outside of a Healthcare context
