The quality of a troon prioritizes other things above and at the expense of their identity; like virtue, social competence, and shallow intimacy. A trans person, on the other hand, recognizes their identity above any of these things. Troons reintroduce the same problem of alienation caused by their endless aim for social competence. Troons do not represent trans people, of whom I reckon are still as rare as more than two decades ago. It is important not to conflate two things that are mutually exclusive.
