I am 3 years into HRT and I still haven't chosenidk what to choose that isn't cringe and doesn't feel like skinwalking someone I know, I don't want something too malebrained and I don't want something that would seem like my parents wouldn't have pickedI am thinking of just using the female variant of my male nameit still feels really cringe and embarrassing and I can't imagine anyone, especially family using this name. I started HRT to HRT rep but doing basically nothing apart from HRT is kind of breaking my mind and I'm for some reason getting more mentally ill>inb4 "Alice", "Lilith", "Emma"
>>44616391if you're really that concerned with what others think of your name and you want to pick something that isn't ""malebrained"" or ""cringe"" (wtf is a "malebrained" woman's name??? christ...) why not just pick arbitrarily from the list of top most popular baby names from your birth year?
On my hometown there's a tradition, unsure if it's universal, you had to be "baptized" by your sisters, I got named Sophia but I rarely use it, manmoding and all, also my "friend" gave me a "stripper" name just to make fun of me but Safiro doesn't sound that bad I guess.
>>44616669i wish i had trans family :(
>>44616686Ah I don't see them anymore, we fell apart a long long time ago, it just stuck, well it also helped that one girl that went to the same school told everyone in my high-school about it.
scroll down the list of popular baby names for your birth year, with consideration for your ethnicity and class. if you want to name yourself after a celebrity make sure they haven't been at their peak for a few decades so it's less suspicious
>>44616391Pick a popular baby name from the year you were born that isn't a common tranny name
>>44616391>I don't want something that would seem like my parents wouldn't have pickedI found it really simple to work out the naming scheme my family uses and picked one of the fembrained options
worrying about what others think of your name is super pathetic
>>44616391I looked through historically significant names and picked a gender neutral variant of a name with a mote common feminine spelling. It has caused minor headaches whenever i meet someone and they insist that my name is pronounced the more feminine way. Its honestly super weird...let a twinkhon have a gender neutral name >:(
>>44616800I am pathetic, that's why I'm a manmoder
>>44616391if it's not one thing it's the loose bowl syndrome or something else
>>44616391I had a name picked out from my year of birth and within a span of a month multiple fucking optics nukes dropped the same name. fuck me.>picsince when does either of those conditions require a cane?
>>44616391Mouth feel does wonders here. Online you can be just about anything. Hop into a game with communication, or a discord server that's medium to small sized with vc channels. Introduce yourself as whatever name and say it out loud a few times. Repeat till something hits.Alternatively here's what I did: find a character whose archetype and ethnic lineage fit you, look up variations or lingual roots of the names, and verbally test them in controlled settings. I liked Rose Cassidy from New Vegas, I'm a paddy, I looked up its history and Gaelic names like it, and settled on Casey because it sounds gender neutral enough to be low-friction for transitioning. I also chose a last name with Gaelic roots as well I thought fitted the ideal self I imagined in the future. It's not so bad to think over a bit but don't be bogged down by decision paralysis! If it becomes a burden emotionally, just stick with your birthname and most people won't belittle you about it.
>>44616391i picked the first name that spoke to me and it worked out fine
>>44616391i picked nelle for myself, you can use that one if you like
>>44616391Try to find the closest female name to your make name. It'll be a practical solution and would probably make for an easy mental transition.I know not all names have similar sounding female names to them but if yours fits then do that.
>>44616391look up>female baby namesand find something you likethats how i foud my name at least, i scrolled until i found natalieand i thought natalie was kinda corny but natasha would be a nice name, so i picked that and never changed it
>>44616391my parents told me the name they would’ve given me if i was born a girl, and the name my dad dreamt about when my mom was pregnant. i chose the latter because the former was my middle school crush’s name and i don’t wanna be a skinwalker
>>44618389both are nice, i feel like natasha is a little bit nicer than natalie though, good pick nona
>>44616834jesse who gets called jessie perhaps?
>>44618426nooh but thats a good guess and the exact kind of scenario im talking about
i had to choose a male pseudonym for online work long before trooningmy name is a female mutation of that chosen name. added bonus is it feels like past me picked it out for me ahead of timesneed af but trying the same might help you to find a name you connect with
>>44617940>picked a name from a video gamekek
>go to r/tragedeigh>pick female name that isn't too outlandish but still ridiculousCongrats nona you now have an unclockable name. Obviously no tranny would name herself something like Mackenzeiah, Khaylee, or Jaeydin.
>>44618595I picked a name from a dead moba lol
>>44619602whatever you say HoN
>>44616391>How do you choose a troon nameAdd an "essa" to the end of your name.
>>44616391I didn't. My childhood nickname is Jamie. Everyone calls me that. I see no reason to change it. It feels like my name.I do plan on eventually changing my middle name, which my mom gave me after her dad to my grandmother's middle name.
>>44619632Jeffessa.
>>44619620LOL excellent
>>44619632faggotessa
i picked some tripwhore who i kinda wished i was.then i modified it slightly to be the name belonging to two popular kids who were at my highschool, one female, one male.idc if it's weird how i got there i like my name and people don't seem to have any issue saying it.
>>44616391choose a royalty name usually from a princess, they tend to be quite long and there might be a interesting name there for you to choose
