Know who to go after.You're not going to get straight men unless they are GAMP. As a cis man I guess my advice would be it probably is best not to open with it. Get to know each other a little and then see how comfortable you are with that person. Personally there more important aspects to whoba person truly is other than gender identity. But that's my opinion. I don't know what it's like to be in your shoes.

Is texting and getting to know him a little before the date? It's ultimately up to you, but I think it's totally acceptable to wait until after the first date or during if you feel comfortable enough. There is more to you then just being Trans for him to know on a first date.
