Anyone else sometimes look at pictures of your old self pre-transition and get a little said? Going on HRT did a lot to relieve my dysphoria. I actually like my body now, and I'm genuinely a much less irritable person, but I can't help but think I was more attractive as a guy. I feel like I have potential to look how I want as a girl, but transition is such a slow process. It's hard not to get discouraged.

>i love gundam
Same :P

I look at my pre trans photos and see someone absolutely miserable, but not too different than what I look like now. 0 to 0 in 60 seconds!
>>
Nah I respect that this is what he wanted.

Sometimes I wonder the opposite like what if past me got a glimpse of me now. I don't think he'd believe it.

If I look at pictures of me from college and my mid-twenties, I see that. But I had a glow up in my late 20s, early 30s. Just couldn't quite be authentically me without transitioning. I think I'll eventually get where I want, but the mid-phase really sucks.

>I don't think he'd believe it.
Yeah, I've know I was likely trans since I was a kid, but never thought I'd actually end up transitioning.
>>

I'm 4.5 years on test and I feel like I can't break through being 'inbetween'.
>>
i was suicidally miserable and ugly as sin before transition. i am so many magnitudes more attractive than i was that i look like a completely different person now. i wince even looking at pretroon photos and relish excising them from existence. some things are best forgotten
>>
I feel visceral disgust when I look at old pics of myself
I was so emotionally numb from the testosterone poison that I didn't even realize how miserable I was beyond a general sense that something was very wrong
I would rather kill myself than go back
I was hot though and I would fuck my past self
>>
Well yeah but not for that reason, I was beautiful when I was young, such a pretty face and small body and all of that gone to waste for being a fucking retaed.

>I was hot though and I would fuck my past self
Kinda of embarrassed to admit I feel the same.
>>

>can't help but think I was more attractive as a guy
What I feel is irrelevant. I got zero attention as a guy. I got lots of attention and ended up married as a woman. So it's clear that I wasn't more attractive as a guy at all.
Keep in mind that "attractive" isn't just physical. If you put out miserable vibes, you're still unattractive.
>>
>>44619658
Only because I was young and decent looking and did nothing with it
>>
>>44619658
No i was really gross when i was a guy. Also i was a child and im not a nonce
>>
>>44619658
I mean you effectively rejected the innocent body whose only crime was being being attached to someone who hated it. It's even sadder when that body was beautiful.
>>
>>44619658
yes but only cause I could've trooned better
>>
>>44619658
yeah I'd probably let guy me hit desu he was kinda a fuckboy though
>>
>>44622236
I find it really silly to think of my body prior to transition as separate from who I am now. I'm literally layering another puberty on top of it. I'm not a different person because of that. My body's not a different body.
>>
>>44619658
>Anyone else sometimes look at pictures of your old self pre-transition
Nope
>>
>>44619658
true i was like a whole, normal guy at 17, it's so weird to me now years later. im now one of those weirdos i tried my hardest to not end up like
>>
>>44619658
Nah I feel a bit the same
I was a fat ugly teenager who then worked out a bunch and became an attractive, lean man in my 20s and I could see the way people treated me change in real time.
Only problem was that it didn't fix my dysphoria. I look like a mid woman now but at least I don't want to kill myself anymore.
I don't regret the work out cope phase though. My body fat got low enough that when I started hrt and gained weight and lost muscle mass all of the new fat went into the right places
>>

I genuinely tried so so hard to be a normal guy.
I avoided trans people and trans spaces and worked out and got a girlfriend and graduated college with a good paying job like I thought I was supposed to.
None of this meant anything to me. None of it made me want to die any less.
It sucks. I really really didn't want to troon out but it kept worming it's way into my brain until I wanted to kill myself

no because what good did any of it do me then? capitalizing on any positive attention i might have gotten for being attractive as a guy* (rare but it happened) would've been lying and would only have made me feel worse.
also no because i hate pictures and don't keep any of myself, pre OR post transition

I thought if I tried hard enough I'd buy into enjoying masculinity :(
Everyone always talks about how men have it so good and have so many more opportunities in life it felt like I'd be wasting them if I didn't try to accept it
