you're probably not old enough but there was a time when it was cool to hate vegans and people pretty much got over it and started to get annoyed with the anti-vegan people who were by far more annoying than actual vegans, I wouldn't say the 'pendulum swung the other way' because it's not like vegans are wildly popular but for the most part they're tolerated and no one gives them shit unless you live in small town nebraska or something
