>>44655804>Do you find your sexuality affects your gender presentation?yeah, I try to appear as soft as possible whilst trying to keep looking edgy/messy/careless depending on the style. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be...
>>44655804>QotT: Do you find your sexuality affects your gender presentation?I think bi's have more flexibility in playing with masculine/feminine features than cissies because there is already an expectation of transgression. basically the worst you can be seen is as gay/lesbian if you go beyond gender norms, which for a cissy is a death sentence but if you're openly bi it's not a big deal.
>>44655804>QotT: Do you find your sexuality affects your gender presentation?it depends, like if i am going to an event that is largely gay i will be more gay presenting if that makes sensein general though, i don't flag in real life and im not sure if it affects how i present but people have clocked me as being bi for some silly things
>>44655804>QotTI think it makes me (cis m) effeminate. I only realized a year ago that people see me as effeminate and that my friends and family saw me as queer since I was a little boy.I'm not interested in a lot of feminine stuff nor do I dress feminine, but I have always had, "the voice," some feminine mannerisms, and gotten overly emotional. I have always tried to suppress it (trying to talk with a deeper voice, act more masculine, etc), because it's embarrassing, but continuously fail to do so. However, I'm not sure being effeminate is because of my bisexuality. It might be more that both are independently caused by something else (whatever hormone / neurology makes people gay in the first place..).
>>44656843>gotten overly emotionalim bad for this too honestly, well not that there's anything wrong with it but people expect men to be stoic unfeeling creatures

>>44655804>QotT: Do you find your sexuality affects your gender presentation?I'm bigender and I really feel like my attraction to men is from the female side of my gender identity. That is, I'm attracted to men in a way that is womanly rather than gay. Its been like this since I was little girlboy. I repressed it during my teens and later, and pretended not to find men attractive at all.Even later when I realized I was bigender, I initially assumed I was only into chicks. But then all of a sudden I just spontaneously started finding men attractive. And I suddenly remembered guys I'd known in the ensuing years, that I now remembered as being hot. Like someone went back and edited that back into my old memories.
>>44671066this is pretty real, i always thought it was weird how polarized the gay scenes are in real lifecan't just be a regular guy or girl you have to be a twink or a bear or a dyke, etc, etc

https://youtu.be/h2ou2A_-8JU?si=-gPrBOWOPfKtud7Qi doubt anyone watched this video because it's way too long but I thought some things in it were interestingbasically they're saying that bisexual people have higher rates of depression and minority stress and intimate violence not just because they don't fit in with either label of gay or straight but because those labels are built around the whole "born this way" ideology which doesn't really work at all for bisexuals and thus they have to be excluded by both sides. Also explains why there's so many random flags for non-straight/gay sexualities, people outside the binary feel like they need to create their own binary (which doesn't really work)
>>44676064>the whole "born this way" ideology which doesn't really work at all for bisexualsDoes it explain why it doesn't work? Or is it just bigotry?
>>44676064>2 hoursi will watch at some point and give u my thoughts anon
>>44676064I watched some of this but It seemed way too focused very specifically with the problems of portraying a bisexual in film, which doesn't really interest me. Their video essay on the fashion of sci-fi futures is pretty good though.
>>44676077yes that's like most of the video past the 40 min markbasically the "ethnic model" was taken from the civil rights movement. Think about arguing with someone who's racist about why they should respect black people. If they genuinely believe black people are all criminals, etc. then most arguments to treat them fairly don't make sense, but the argument "they're born that way, they can't help it" in a weird way does work... but it's somewhat short sighted. It does work and the gay movement took the same approach. They basically said, "gay people don't have a choice!"... except bisexuals clearly have a choice. It means bisexuals aren't viewed as a real sexuality: the video talks about how some UN refugee program for sexual minorities rejected someone who talked about facing violence, literally almost being killed, for having gay sex. They rejected him because he wasn't really gay enough, he just had gay sex sometimes and also had sex with women...>>44676087wow i did not expect such a response. thank you i really appreciate it. I think the first 40 minutes are about movies portrayal of bisexuality and the rest is more about the world. The part with the movies, it was interesting how there are basically two very similar movies where someone is about to get married, then leaves their fiancee/newlywed for a person they just met. In real life they would be an asshole but it's a romance so they're the hero... The difference between the two movies is that one has a straight woman elope with a lesbian woman, and the other has a gay man elope with a straight woman. So, in one they realize they're lesbian and in the other they realize they're straight. Really both are bisexual but no one can see it as anything but straight/gay (why?). And the one where they "become straight" was received much more negatively. Because naturally it kinda breaks the idea that someone is "born this way"sorry for the text wall but im attempting to summarize a 2hr video
>>44676152yeah I think it could be shorter. they do talk about other stuff later, basically how identity politics causes this. and they also do some thing about how capitalism is bad but I didn't really like that part.so they do go broader than just bisexuality in film but i wonder if you could go even broader. I think in general humans are too trained to try to split things into two distinct, opposing camps when really everything is a spectrum. This causes a lot of issues beyond what bisexuals are experiencing, for example extremist/populist politics. I wonder if someone could go even more broad.interesting I will watch that video
>>44676277>It does work and the gay movement took the same approach. They basically said, "gay people don't have a choice!"... except bisexuals clearly have a choiceI mean, bisexual people still don't have a choice to be bisexual, even if they have a choice of fucking men or women. Plenty of bi people would rather not be bi (not me though, being bi is great lol). And bi people having a choice to go for men or women doesn't mean that gay/straight people don't have that choice. That being said I agree on the UN thing, that guy would be in danger forever just from his past now. The UN is generally incompetent.
>>44673013That jur guy was killed in the Ukraine war few years ago btw
>>44677301The price of war is too great. When will we learn.
>>44677309Unironically the rates of war and violence in the world are still dropping overall, and it's been shown very publicly that it's hard to invade countries without fucking up your own country. Asia has mostly figured this out already, "the west" is probably 10-20 years from figuring it out (Russia and America being stragglers here), 30-40 for the Middle East, 50-60 for Africa.
>>44677336you let cambodia and thailand know that. And the world is the most war torn it's been since ww2 so "dropping overall" is quite relative. But yes, the aggressors pretty much always lose. Either it's over in a week or two, or they lose. We're in a ww1 equivalent, trenches within trenches. And even if they did win, the cost of taking the land and the value of the land that is left means it's something only a retard would attempt.
>>44677386>you let cambodia and thailand know that.Eh I said mostly lol. But yeah maybe was too generous on that.>ww2Nah even before that, countries warred and invaded each other way more often than they do now.>even if they did win, the cost of taking the land and the value of the land that is left means it's something only a retard would attempt. This is my overall point. Leaders will gradually figure this out. Perhaps my timeline is too optimistic, but I do think that's the trend.
>>44677404Given history's example the odds between leaders becoming sensible and doubling down until the age of prosperity that elevated them turns to dust are not good. Abysmal even. It's so rare we've immortalized the few that seemed to manage it and even they only put off the inevitable for about a lifetime. There's not much getting around it, this ship must sink.
does any other closeted bi guy that's never fucked a guy feel like they've aged out of trying it out i'm 32 and now everyone my age is married and/or looks like shit. i'd go younger and get a twink or tranny, but i don't want to be accused of being a pedo.

>>44655804>QOTTnot really, I present however I feel likesometimes it feels cute if I come off as a pretty gay boy rather than a lesbian thought. enby mtf
>>44676064i actually did watch this when it came out! interesting enough to be worth a watch, or at least a listen in the background like i did. the scope kinda expanded past the original topic of film, but it definitely is an interesting theory on why everybody else seems uncomfortable with bi people. Weirdly, the whole ethnic model point also explains why mixed people are in a similar situation; nobody knows how to classify them and they break the misconception of race being like a concrete, born-with-the-gene-that-makes-you-black biological thing, when in reality its just a mental shortcut for grouping people based on a handful of regionally common traits.>>44655804QOTT: a little bit; for the most part i feel like i come off as a normal guy but i do often try to dress softer/cuter, and I think I would go further with it if I wasn't in a piece of shit ultra conservative state. At the very least, being bi opened up the desire for me to explore it.
>>44680996In what ways do you dress cuter? I feel like with the state of men's fashion it's kinda hard not to come across as gay, but maybe gay is okay depending on the people.
>>44680996its kind of a sum of small parts thing; I like to wear looser clothing, pastel colors, flannels, pretty patterned button ups, rope bracelets. Personal grooming plays a role too, I like to keep my hair a little longer and be clean shaven, face and legs. I want to try nail polish but I see my family all the time and they would not take well to it. But honestly, nothing that would make me stand out in a crowd, especially since these things have already gotten remarks from my family lol
>>44681247that sounds really sweet :)I would probably do a similar thing myself, just try to keep it subtle. I live in an area that is more left leaning and so how I present has always been no big deal. I don't dress very feminine necessarily but I am kind of eccentric because of the autism and that's hard to avoid.

I'm excited in the case we do end up actually having a threesome, but also a little worried, I don't want to scare her off or weird her out because me and my gf can be really intense and experimental at times, and she's a very lesbian leaning bisexual, so being the guy in the dynamic is a bit daunting. especially because I want to make sure everyone's well-being is being upheld and I don't want to overstep at all. >>44707403the issue is semantic not syntactic; I can read the question perfectly well>Do you find your sexuality affects your gender presentation?just seems to have some logical flawsthe one I mentioned before, where it seems to presuppose a change from a hypothetical non-bisexual baseline; affects as compared to what?and does it mean "gender" as in socially-constructed sex roles, or one of the other definitions?like is it asking if my sexuality affects how I present the facets of my self-image which relate to the degree to which I imagine I conform to my society's socially-constructed sex roles?because afaik most contemporary societies don't expect men to be bisexual, so if I'm open about being bisexual, then I've already breached the expectations of the gender role, and that affects my gender presentationand if I'm not open about it, then because of my sexuality I'm making a conscious decision to hide my sexual orientation to better conform to the male gender roleso either way... the answer's yes?if I'm understanding the question, it seems impossible for the answer to be 'no', so what's the point of the question?and this version of the question:>do you feel like being bi has affected how you present yourself to other people?seems to be tautologically asking "if you were different, would you be different?", which is obviously inane and self-answeringdo you know what I mean?
>>44707574OP just wants to know whether you dress better and color your nails since you started sucking dick. It’s not that hard of a question, mate.
>>44707574it's very possible for the answer to be noexample would be if u are very straight and normie presentinglike not everyone flags irlit's a complicated question that u have to think about
>>44707711I think you might be imagining that you have a better understand of what it's asking than you do
>>44707726>example would be if u are very straight and normie presentingwhat does that have to do with gender though?"if u are very straight and normie presenting", what bearing does that have on gender theory's conception of "gender" as an aspect of self-conception? it's what you automythologically imagine about yourself, and how you demonstrate that self-myth
>>44707782gender is performative anonseems to be the root of your issue with the question
Why yall nerds always on about meta-sexuality
>>44707574The question is do you dress different because you're bi, identity semantics aside it's just asking if there's anything about your bisexuality that you think stands out in the way you dress. You can leave your tautology in your special tism chest this isn't a court document.>Inb4 no you dont get it: same shit againOk.
>>44707805>your special tism chestI want to look inside
>>44707803meta attraction is very silly to think about
>>44707824what kind of treasure do u think they are hiding in there?
Is there any point in telling my new therapist I'm "bisexual?" I'm not really going for anything related to my sexuality, although dating and a lack of girlfriend/wife/kids might come up. I'm mostly going because I've become a bit of a shut-in after a major injury. The extent of my bisexuality is that one time I had sex with a guy, had fun with it, but decided the lead-up and aftermath isn't really worth it for me. Could it happen again someday? Maybe, but probably not. I don't intend to date a man, I don't really find random men on the street attractive except in the most obscure cases. Occasionally I'll jerk it to something gay or fantasize about something, but really only 1-2x a month. I don't feel like I'm suppressing anything, but wondering if I should just lay all of my cards on the table.
>>44708758it's worth mentioning, but i think it depends on your issues right? like, if you are there to get help with serious mental illness type thing might not be very useful information, but it doesn't hurt to tell them.
>>44708828I wouldn't say it's very serious mental illness, but who knows what they say? I'm mostly afraid of getting back to work and having to be out of my house on someone else's schedule after years of being on my own time... so probably not relevant to my sexuality, outside of work having to have some kind of purpose, and how I think having a relationship or something would help with motivation. But that's not really sexuality.
>>44707795>gender is performative anonno, it's notthe conception in gender theory has it that it's more about how you view yourself - it's what you identify with internallyit's an aspect of identity; nothing to do with performance whatsoeverI don't think you understand the idea
>>44707805that's not what was askeda man can wear a dress, and it might have nothing to do with his gender, or his sexualitythe question didn't ask "do you dress differently?" it asked "does it affect your gender presentation?"those aren't the same question at all
>>44708758it's not really a real thing, and it's hopefully totally incidental to your characterI wouldn't bother mentioning it just for the sake of mentioning it, but nor should you hide it if it happens to come up as the therapy evolves - it might be for some good subconscious reason
>>44709233And yet that's what they meant, a concept nobody else had issue with except for you, because you are autistic.Into the tism chest.

>>44709419Who said I'm trying to be interesting. And if your idea of "interesting" is arguing semantics because you couldn't intuit intent if your life depended on it I will take your disinterest as a genuine compliment.I might just make it after all.

First post here. I've come to accept myself as bi, but my preferences for men are really really really specific. I've found I'm not attracted to trans men or trans women, only femboys. Even searching twinks they're usually pretty muscly and the almonds don't activate. I'm like 95% straight but I want a soft and small subby boy in a skirt.I'm also just not into the idea of anal that much. I usually only watch femboy porn of oral or frotting. I'm also a virgin so all this is theoretical based on porn. AMA i guess.
>>44736945Aside from just gooning i guess, I'm still getting used to the idea of dating a guy. I'm not really experienced dating in general so it's a little intimidating, the thought of presenting a bf to my friends and family. I haven't even come out in my discord groups. It's all pretty new to me. I've fantasized about having a cute boywife to come home to work to and cuddle and play games with. Not very different from my straight fantasies.
>>44736945>I'm also a virgin yeah this is all bullshit then, sorry
