There are comics with bad art posted here, but I'd say the majority of them are passable to good. The genre is also built on utilizing streamlined aesthetics so artists can actually make enough scenes/panels to get a narrative flow going. While some webcomics have multiple people working on them, most are written, drawn, and inked/shaded by one person whereas traditional comic books and manga have a whole team working on them. Things like background detail, shading quality, monotone/color, and anatomy can certainly separate okay comics from great ones, but illustration-grade work is very much the exception rather than the rule.

I think the second volume is going to delve into the underlying mysteries of the island a bit more. The pacing is quite slow and meandering, but I'm enamored with the foggy, laid-back vibes.
