Everybody who has a cast iron pan is going to tell you their own method but this is what I do and I think it is easyThis cast iron pan in my picture is a big f****er so it doesn't heat evenly on the burner so I have to put it in the oven at 400° f to get it fully preheated before I put it on the burner and put in the food Once I'm done cooking I take it to the sink and I wash it out with steaming hot water and dish soap and steel wool.... Only the strongest seasoning will survive and that's the way I like it I'm not going to baby a f****** panOnce I'm done cleaning it out I dry it with paper towel and then I oil that b**** like Stacy's Mom when she's sunbathing and then I wipe the oil off with another paper towel leaving a very tiny thin layer and I put it on the burner on medium for like 10 minutes until there is a whiff of smoke and then I turn the burner off. DoneOnce in awhile like it maybe once a year I will do a full reseason which consists of rubbing the entire surface of the pan with canola oil and then wiping it off so there is only a fine layer left and then putting it in the oven at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 90 minutes... Do this once, twice, three times, whatever you f****** want really it's your panThanks for your attention to this matter
