'Porn addiction' is not a thing, it's just an online right-wing talking point to try and explain why everyone isn't a 'based tradcon' like them and has different interests. People aren't hornier than they were in the past or anything, they just feel more free about openly expressing their sexuality because in certain internet circles its been destigmatized to BE horny. This causes friction, obviously, with the parts of society, and in particular irl, where it's still not acceptable to act like this. It's not an issue of an 'addiction' but of clashing social norms.

A person who is frequently sexual is more likely to watch a lot of porn than someone who isn't, so thats where the slang comes from. It's not an actual addiction, but rather a way to describe the inference you can make on someone who seems to be frequently horny.
