As for the feeling of how the bloody part works, there is a feeling of something wet going out of your body out of your control, you feel blood coming out of your privates (it is mostly felt once it is actually exiting and starts touching the general crotch area), it is initially warm but as it gets on your pad, it cools down and you constantly feel it against you and then it dries and can stick to your pubic hair which is not pleasant. Sometimes one would pass clots, they feel more sluglike-in texture once they come out; but before it does that you can't feel whether it is a clot or a massive pool of blood that will need urgent cleanup (or both). During a period a person usually doesn't have much appetite due to all the nausea. And one sleeps poorly due to the fear of staining clothes and bedsheets, and due to the pain, obviously. I hope this helps paint a picture of a typical period! Of course there is variation to this, but this is the standard experience without any additional issues with anything down there, with a healthy system.
