>trans female musician
>music is about the trans female experience
>majority of fans are transmasc misinterpreting it to fit themselves
genuinely how does this happen so often I've seen the same shit with alex g why do they have to approriate other communities instead of creating their own?

most "transmascs" want to be trans women

Every human experience is, a little bit, in every person.
Especially considering if you're both facing similar obstacles in life.
Shocker, all trans people have a lot of similarities.

Why does this make you so upset? Why is it "appropriation" in your view? (honest question)

I ask because growing up as a repressed mtf I was able to identify with characters such as Kino from Kino's Journey, even though canonically they are and AFAB that dresses in a practical, more typically male coded. way. I'm sure tons of people could tell me that that is a depiction of a uniquely AFAB experience that I can never truly relate to, because if anything I have the perverted inversion of that noble path some people have taken.
But I identified with the character anyways.
I know I know, I'm awful. I just saw someone presenting themselves in a very practical way to the world while mostly being alone but still having subtle elements of feminine grace that shown through in non-stereotypical ways and I guess I couldn't help but relate to it on some level.
Guess I'm literally doing colonialism or something and should feel bad about it, instead of, you know, taking it as an opportunity for greater connection and solidarity between others and me.

All that being said there was a thread on this board like 5 years ago, give or take, where an FtM made a post about Kino and I made a really dumb post saying something like "Kino is more boymoder coded than ftm" or something stupid, flagrantly, in a way that meant nothing.
I still regret doing that.

who cares. were all transgender and noones shutting you down. devi would be happy that people from a different background are still finding solace and recognition in her music even if they arent exactly like her... be kind

On this point, I tend to find when I am able to let go of a mindset of "this simulacra is my hole! it was made for me!" and also stop checking myself so rigorously when it comes to what I'm "allowed to" let my mind wander too, at first there's a sensation of "is this really okay?" and other stuff, but eventually it broadens and broadens, and the way that you can look at mtf representation now and identify with the characters, having part of them become part of you, becomes something that starts to naturally happen with all human beings, animals, and so on.

I think the idea that connecting to something on a deep level is appropriation if you're not the intended audience is just wrong-headed.

ftms are used to the female experience, where a woman is always a positive and welcomed addition to a group. they also have the tastes and sense of humor of a 13 year old boy so they are really annoying. mtfs are the opposite, where they actively try to escape the male experience of being either the boring norm at best, and an unwanted pest at worst, and try to adopt the female experience instead of being wanted and welcomed, which ends up just making them come off as annoying rapey pests. they also have the tastes and sense of humor of a 13 year old boy but in a different way

I make like 1/3 of anti-FTM posts on this board and even I think this is a retarded nonissue

Let's be real here; anything about ANY trans experience is probably going to be felt by ANYONE who's trans. Outside specific things like trans women learning make up or trans men getting used to having a beard or whatever, odds are a trans person is going to relate to it. That's perfectly fine, honestly, I'd rather the trans people get some positive attention regardless.
>>
>>44796129
this just shows you don't listen to trans people of the opposite gender. the experiences are very different.
>>
>>44795072
No idea what you're referring to OP but this sounds like a nothingburger. Will Wood had a period of gender confusion that ended with releasing the song I/Me/Myself and accepting himself as a cis man with a feminine side, but it ended up becoming a trans anthem of sorts anyway. People can express ideas that resonate with just about any demographic, that's what art *is.*
>>
>>44795072
becuase mtfs listen to actual music rather than seek out audio caca just because it happens to relate to trans issues
>>
>>44795111
Uh how about you guys learn not to be little hitlers in the pit and then tell me to get over it. Last Devi show I went to was 90% human pit bulls aggressively vying to displace anyone closer to the stage while botching all the lyrics.

>13 year old boy so they are really annoying.
That sounds kinda awesome
>>
>>44796180
I'm not saying their experiences aren't different, but what's the point in getting upset when there's also plenty of similarities? I mean the whole "issue" here is that trans men are feeling seen with something made by a trans woman, clearly there's something there that both parties relate to.

The exact same thing happened like a week ago with a popular song (they will bury me a woman) that was very explicitly about the trans male experience, and a bunch of trans women really related to the point one of them created a cover of the song to make it about trans women.

Get over yourself OP, You have no real issues if you're bitching about this nothingsalad. none of this shit actually matters

no, I have a lot more grievances with trans men than cis men in my personal life but both treat me bad so I seethe post anonymously for trans men and publicly for cis men because I don't get dogpiled for saying cis men suck on normie social media but do for trans men.

Fair enough i guess, i feel the same way about older/non young/midshit trans women but mainly oldshits

>I think the idea that connecting to something on a deep level is appropriation if you're not the intended audience is just wrong-headed.

yea, like how trans people can relate to issues of race even though it obviously isn't race but say you watch something like a black man getting denied a job because of his race and you just got denied a job because you were trans, different experience but there is a commonality there that makes it relatable
>>
>>44796994
pass on your youngshit grievances

I think anyone would have grievances with oldshits if the day you came out to your parents a rapehon got put on the news for child rape

i believe in youngshit supremacy too but thats kinda a non issue lmao

>a rapist larps as a tranny while doing his rapery because he thinks (because of right wing propaganda) that trannies get off easier for that sort of thing
>news corpo profit motivated to sow as much outrage and intraclass division as possible chooses to broadcast events like this as often as possible
>your parents lack second order thinking and don't dare to question the motivations of the news corpo in broadcasting this stuff
>this is the fault of all oldshits

It's the eternal question which plagues the tranny mind, each and every one of us.

"Was that tranny just so brainbroken from dysphoria and other shit over so long that they ended up like this? Or is this just a person faking being trans or fetishizing being trans?"

Again and again every tranny must contend with this question until they reach a breaking point.
What is to be done?

kill anyone who rapes a child with a large hammer
>>
>>44797168
as a tranny, I do wonder if it is nurture or nature that makes trannies more likely than cis people to be pedos or if they aren't they just get caught more or if they don't just get caught more, they get plastered on the news more when they get caught
>>
It's very obvious that many trans women "hate trans men" as a form of revenge for feeling maligned as boys by 2010s sjw/tumblr stuff. There's a clear giddiness that they've finally unlocked "misandry" and can wield it against those who wronged them (tumblr chicks), who are caught in a trap; the tumblr chicks can't complain because they already established the whole "women can hate on men indiscriminately" paradigm.

I've seen many trans women take an obvious sadistic glee in abusing this paradigm; you oversimplify the situation to make it seem as though the position of trans men relative to trans women is remotely comparable to that of cis men to cis women. Maybe "complaining about men" makes you feel more like a girl. But what is actually being made obvious to everyone watching is the fact that you have no idea what it's like to be a cis woman around cis men in everyday life.

Obviously there are exceptions and there's plenty of reasons to hate trans men who ACTUALLY ACT LIKE MEN. But since almost none of them do - especially if they're participating in internet communities like this - what I'm seeing is a bunch of ex-gamer boys hating on "genderspecials" for being annoying, and I'm expected to believe this dynamic is actually just normal women-hating-men stuff.

Trying to name what's happening here without breaking the sacred rules of woke is genuinely the entire basis for the "transandrophobia" bullshit that's been floating around the past few years. Once you understand this, that circus starts to make a lot more sense.
>>
>>44797237
The inherent nature of the trans "I want to be a little child forevah" and "I want to relive my life as a child of the opposite sex" means they get fucking weird

>>44797237
There's no real evidence that trannies do it more, they just report on it more because it's easy to get attention by going "look at these FREAKS being DEGENERATES and MOLESTING KIDS shouldn't we KILL THEM ALL?!?!"
>>
>>44797237
I do think it's mostly that trans people are over-publicized, but I honestly have no issue believing there is a statistically significant link. I think it's a correlation vs causation thing - identity disturbances from childhood trauma heavily correlate with both. I'd think the fact that gender dysphoria at its base is a sort of faulty sexual self-perception would just make any sexual identity issues even worse.

There's also the fact that a lot of them probably aren't trans and are just all-around male perverts, so who's to say
>>
>>44797285
I don't want to be a little child forever though, and I don't think that's common. I'm an adult, if anything I wish I was more normal. if you could snap your fingers and make me not trans I would take that deal, man or woman. though I suppose post transition that would mean a bit of difficulty untransitioning

its probably just that straight (passing) cisgender men have a higher social status and are more likely to get away with child diddling.

For instance, the president of the USA.

I genuinely don't think the trans men involved here ever really considered themselves *men* in the first place, just non-women. The impulse to fight online about imaginary queer shit is deeply fembrained behavior (so congratulations to all trans women involved in the discourse). You will notice that virtually no passoid hsts ftms care about this. Pre/early transition guys and ambiguously transmasc people are correctly identifying that characterizing them as Men with a capital M - as in, the powerful social force they are categorically excluded from - is inaccurate and scapegoaty, but they don't have the language to articulate it.
