so i know this guy, right. and he's like. very clearly no reasonable doubt about it a repper. at one point he told me outright he has dysphoria but he has other issues right now so he can sort of ignore it, among a lot of other things. the issue is. he does not want to take testosterone. the reason he doesn't want to (at least stated, there might be some other subconscious things at play, ik his mom is transphobic) is that he believes it'll make him ugly and feeling like shit is worth it for better aesthetic. he says this despite also currently being interested in a breast reduction (not removal because he's seen bad results there, but he'd prefer outright nothing) for what is very clearly not aesthetic reasons.basically, i'm making this thread because i want to know if anyone here can see their past selves in this guy and if so maybe give some advice on what might be able to convince him to try test ? arguments about how beauty is inherently transient probably won't work because he plans on killing himself in the next few years anyway.also we only have access to each other online so that limits available actions.
>>44832765got plenty of experience repping but never had "not wanting to be ugly" as an argument or even cope. still, here's my thoughts.First, be mindful about how you approach this subject. i've seen stories about reppers blocking well-meaning people because they kept trying to get the repper to stop repping despite them repeatedly asking for the topic to be dropped. you don't have to be super careful if he's open to discussing this with you, but if he doesn't like talking about it, you shouldn't be pushy.1) effortmaxxpill him: get him to understand that effort plays a big role in the aesthetic results of transitioning. most ugly gigapoons would look a lot better if they dressed better, lost a little weight and worked out regularly. send him pics of successful transitions, of poonchads. (if you don't know where to look, i know r/ftmfitness has some good before/after pics, also search other places). the goal is to get him to understand that there are more poonchads than he thought and that the outcome of transition can be influenced with effort.2) look up remedies/fixes for undesirable traits gained in ftm transition. ask him why he thinks test will make him ugly. you need to make him understand that lots of "negative side effects" can be reduced or eliminated. (examples: body hair -> shaving, waxing, worst case laser or electrolysis or whatever trans women use. balding -> minoxidil, finasteride, etc.)3) other means of transitioning: if he won't budge on not wanting test, suggest he look into other stuff. (or look suggest him specific stuff). i'm mainly thinking about steroids (assuming he thinks being muscular is hot (imo it is for men and women)) (if he assumes he's gonna be dead in a few years, most steroid side effects won't be relevant anyway) and non-t effortmaxxing.
