Anyone have experience interviewing while boy/manmoding, getting the job, and then eventually coming out as trans? How'd it go? How'd your coworkers react?

I started off dressing more or less nice a nice christian boy and eventually started wearing more emo shit cuz I was actually able to dress more how I wanted finally. I'd remind people that 'um my pronouns are they/them smile' and eventually people stopped fucking it up by using he and started accidentally using she. literally no one was able to consistently use they. initially people apologised and corrected themselves if they used she but I just told them it was chill and I didn't care either way that much. I very gradually changed my voice over like a year or smth too. my coworkers were chill. every once in a while old men would be a lil gross and I had once where some people were loudly talking to each other about how trans people should all be killed but by the end of it I was girlmoding outside of work. I never made a big deal about it and I only starting girlmoding at work once I got a different jobtl;dr enbymoding is a good strat, don't make a big deal out of gender stuff, and be generally likeable and ur fine
>>44864464I came out after years at the same company. My teammates are liberals, older millennial/younger gen x. Ever since I came out to them, they've been way more passive-aggressive or they ignore me completely, even though I've tried to be friendlier and nicer. I've been looking for a new job, but I can't find another in my niche or area, so I'm kinda fucked right now. I wish I would have kept manmoding without saying a word and got a new job sooner. It's humiliating.

I didn't really come out I just said actually my name is this and my pronouns are she/her. Unfortunately it was in the HR training that a trans person might interview under a different name and then change it at work so they probably know. Nobody has been weird about it desu, but I pass and also live in a liberal area.
I applied for a whole bunch of jobs and the only ones I got offers for were the ones I girlmoded to, I don't think boymoding for a job is all its cracked up to be desut. software engineer who got a job just before covid
