Okay /LGBT/ new button hypothetical: If you press the button all gender dysphoria is cured permanently but only for future generations born after the button press, from then on all new people will be born in the body of their respective gender identity fromthen on. Basically making every future generation cis and gender affirmed. As a tradeoff ALL current trans people (transitioned, closeseted and other) along with the person who pressed the button (doesn't matter if they are trans or not) are all forced by anomalous means to not be able to interact with electronics, or have anything they create interact with electronics whatsoever for the rest of their lives. IE: forced to live a psuedo-Amish lifestyle in which an unseen magic makes it impossible for any use/utilization of electronics directly or indirectly (covering loopholes). I'm talking no usage or interaction even by proxy. Would (you) press the button anon? Why or why not? If you did, how do you think you would fare?
No lmao
>>44956907why not?
damn I thought this one was strange and would get some interesting conversations going, but I guess no one cares (yet.) D:Why do my longest OP's always get the least replies.
>>44957052Because it's a stupid ass question. Living without modern technology is hell, so why would anyone press it ???Empathy for the next gen ? The babies born rn will surely start transitioning after this political climate change. Exposure and information will be abundant so transitioning early should be pretty. Even if the climate doesn't change, there is still diy and lots of exposure. Lack of exposure is what stopped me from transitioning as a kid.So yeah. They will have it way better. At worst they will have it like me.So yeah. Stupid ass question, sacrifice yourself and tons of people to make things better for those who have it better or keep things as they are
>>44956873I would press it but only so JK can't use twitter anymore
>>44957115Is living without modern electronic technology really THAT bad? I can understand how it would majorly suck.I figured I did have to make it a heavy price for guaranteeing gender dysphoria never exists again at all from the getgo.A simpler version of the hypothetical is "gender dysphoria no longer exists forever but the last generation of trans people have to live without electronics, is it a worthwhile trade?"
>>44957122I should probably be glad I'm notterminally online enough to know who JK is
>>44957198Consider, you can't live in modern society. You can't use the internet, emails, phones, public transportation, credit cards. Sure hope your job doesn't involve electronics in any way, and they don't care that they can't contact you in any way other than mail. Also no electric cars. You could get by with bank checks, or not at all since the money is handled electronically so you shouldn't be able to do checks. And depending on how it works, you can't even renew your id since it uses electronics. Hell, where I live your id has a chip in it, though your passport doesn't. Also say goodbye to many of the tools of modern medecine.Even if it's less strict than I believe, you still gotta have a job with no electronics that pays in cash and is ok being no contact with you, as a trans person. Hell, in some countries there is a legal limit on how much you can be paid in pure cash. You also gotta manage to live without any internet and without a navigation system. It's even worse if you live in China. If you're a student you're just cooked, everything depends on internet so you're 100% cooked. And it's not like you can get to an amish community if you don't live in America, you can't fly on a plane or get on a boat. Best you can do if make your own sail boat and hope you make it somehow.
>>44956873I'm too selfish for that. In the future hopefully they'll eradicate us completely by aborting abnormal fetuses. It'd be extremely merfciful and humane to do so
>>44956873no because I like utilizing electronics and I don't care about other people suffering
yes without the shadow of a doubt man I want to stop using technology so badly but everything has to be done through the computer or the phone literally everything maneand I don't care if the trannies don't wanna go Amish I'd be doing them a favour even if it goes against what they wantya can't always get what ya wantalso I'd rid this miserable earth of the plague known as transgenderism so it's a win-win situation
>>44956873Yeah that sounds cool
>>44956873id press it then kill myself
>>44956873I'll press the button merely because Amish theyfabs would be hilarious
Yes, I'd press it.No more dysphoria, and while it would be a shame not to talk to some of the trans people on here anymore, so many trans people are severely harmed by spending too much time online anyway that this will be better for a lot of them
>>44957198i wouldn't do this without assurance that i'd be able to live a comfortable life still
>>44958170meant to reply to op i am retarded
>>44956873I wouldn't press it, because transness isn't a disorder. While gender dysphoria brings suffering, it brings out the beauty in our lives as we work to find meaning. The trans community has created so many beautiful things, and many of those creations are in the digital space. This question is like asking if we'd tear out our souls if we thought soulless people didn't feel pain. Fuck that.
