How come so many nutroons had full on facial hair pre-transition? When I was 13ish and started getting a milk moustache I'd get really distressed and obsessively shave it off, and this was before I realised I was a troon. No one is forcing you to have that beard.
>>
no one is forcing you to post. but here we are
>>

Do you not understand what it's like to literally repress something? If being trans means being assaulted, homeless, or killed, then maybe somebody wants to try everything to be not trans first, including being a normal man.
>>
>>44964127
pt's family is extremely wealthy, she was never going to be homeless or anything like that
>>
>>44964089
Same reason that so many trans guys were feminine. Feminine women and masculine men are the socially accepted norm and that comes with certain expectations, like having facial hair for the latter.
>>
>>44964089
I have sensitive skin and would get horrible irritation from shaving so eventully just gave up and became a beard repper for like 10 years
>>
idk. I couldn't stand facial hair was just uncomfy.
>>
>>44964127
you can be a normal man and clean-shaven though, presumably you would want to do that to reduce the dissonance and mental agony
>>
>>44964110
>>44964127
>>44964154
Do you people live in Saudi Arabia or some shit? Being clean shaven is completely normal
>>
>>44964150
ok? I'm not talking about an annoying internet celebrity. I'm talking about the trannies I know personally who are actually trans and repped for years.
>>
>>44964127
okay but like
even if you want to force yourself to be a man for any reason
you don't need facial hair for that
some men shave it clean and they are still considered manly men
no one's gonna think that having your face shaved means you're a troon
>>
>>44964089
>>44964150
I hate this agp theater kid so much it's unreal
>>
>>44964089
I repressed until my early 30s. I grew a mustache. It actually helped as seeing my unshaved, post puberty/pre-hrt face always triggered my dysphoria.
>>
>>44964172
>>44964169
My whole point is that if you are insecure about being a tranny and you purposefully repress it so nobody suspects you, some people, I guess not you two, go far in the opposite direction to trying to be very masculine. Living in a conservative christian area isn't literally the same as saudi arabia, but it's not entirely different.
>>
>>44964089
>When I was 13ish and started getting a milk moustache
I had a beard at 12
>>
>>44964228
i had no facial hair at all until 17 and never a full beard wtf did they put in your tap water
>>
when i first noticed dense hair growing on my legs i googled "can men shave legs"
when i noticed my first chest hair, i started shaving it right away, thinking that maybe when people notice that i dont have any hair on my chest they will think that i just dont have that naturally
and obviously i shaved my face obsessively the same way OP did. once when a girl kissed me and told me she can feel the hairs, i felt so embarrassed even tho this isnt something to be embarrassed about, as far as i know
>>
>>44964274
nta but i grew the pubes of a 40 y/o serbian man basically overnight at the age of 12. my dad was so shocked by their appearance he said "i don't think we should do this father-son swim class anymore, son." we all grow at different rates
>>
>>44964274
iberian genes + early puberty
a few guys (I would say 25%) had literal beards before I dropped out of school at 15
>>
>>44964284
I was extremely uncomfortable with what little body hair I had as a teenager, but engaging with it at all made me extremely uncomfortable. I didn't own a razor because I didn't start growing facial hair until I was 20, and I didn't want to ask my parents to buy me a razor, so my legs etc were just hairy even though I hated it
>>
I grew a beard when I was repping because I thought it was kinda nice to have my disgusting face covered by something
>>
>>44964089
the answer to a question like this is very simple: they're faketroons.
>>
i used to shave obsessively until the depression took over
>>
Does the character abigail thorne exist off-camera?
>>
I looked like this before I trooned out.
Facial hair was one of the few outlets I had as a "man" for self expression.

I did freak out when I first started growing facial hair though. As a kid, I used to take tweezers and pick my mustache out. I eventually just let it go.
>>
Its like a mask. I rarly grew it long
>>
i used to obsessively fingernail and tweeze pluck every single hair from ~15 to age 30+ but then i had to stop because beyond a certain age a man without facial hair all the time does look odd

Your mistake is that you were never really "repressing" much of anything to begin with. True repping requires things like mind over body, stoicism, the ability to actually mask your true self and convincingly portray a normal cis man.
What you did was basically boymoding sans-HRT, and everyone probably already knew because you acted like a girl already. I bet you never were even strong enough to keep a short haircut, so ofc you were too pussy to make the rational choice to grow a repper beard.

We are not the same.
>>
>>44964127
I think it's because you are a normal man otherwise you would have came out gay and been feminine guy
>>
I got laser but I had a patchy beard. It wasn't until I was almost 30 that I truly had the dysphoria inducing permanent shadow even after shaving.

Yes! You're totally right. I got prescribed HRT by a medical doctor with decades of experiences, got evaluated by three licensed therapists, had my testicles removed, and got my face surgically recontoured just like all men <3
>>
>>44964089
Considering pictured is the irl equivalent of Buffalo Bill (skinwalker, insecurely attached to identity) you can safely dismiss everything they do (whether still a cism or trans) as some sort of manipulation tactic/deception.
>>
>>44964089
You don't understand repping?
>>
>>44964089
neglect of your corporeal form, in my case as a young repper. Could also be repper coping through.
>>
>>44964089
bro I had a full mustache at 10 and everyone in my life told me to be a man with no hints in anything except jerry springer and silence of the lambs that I had any choice in the matter
>>
>last year repressing(I didn't know it was the last then)
>try to grow a beard and a mustache
>end up feeling anxious all the time because facial hair hurts my face
>became so unbearable I started plucking hairs at random until it was all gone
Never again
>>
>>44968594
>jerry springer and silence of the lambs
Oof yeah... you must be similar age to me.
>>
>>44964127
everyone replying to you is genuinely retarded as fuck lol like just because someone can be a man wtihout a beard does NOT mean we don't associate having a beard as even more manly and how that trends like that follow when deep into repression. i shaved most of the time and having a beard made my skin crawl and legit only ever grew it out at all when i was nearly going to kill myself but i get why someone would do something like that
>>
>>44964127
>>44968633
You still didn't need to be overly masc to be a guy. Plenty of dudes are clean shaven. I literally never had a beard or mustache pre-hrt, worst it ever got was short stubble when I was really depressed.
>>
>>44964089
same. when i was a kid i was deeply ashamed of wanting to be a girl, convinced i would go to hell for it, and was generally kind of a transphobic little shit thanks to my conservative religious upbringing and bad influences. i thought trans people were gross and i was terrified of being like them, i was full on consciously repping. i still went to the bathroom between (and sometimes in the middle of) every class in highschool to dry shave my chin with the razors i carried around in my bag because the feeling of having facial hair was so viscerally distressing it made me wanna claw my face off.

i can't comprehend how other trans women had full on beards pre-transition. it's literally unfathomable to me.
>>
>>44968766
You grew facial hair that fast???
>>
>>44968778
no not really it was probably like 75% derangement and neuroses. by the time puberty ended i actually had considerably less facial hair growth than the norm for my peers, i just absolutely couldn't handle feeling any stubble on my face at all.
>>
>>44964172
It's easier to rep with a beard. Fewer reminders of what could've been.
>>
I mean I shaved every day and cut my body hair with scissors before I could buy razors, but I'm not going to clown on reppers for doing something irrational. Not that choob was a repper but regardless.
>>
>>44968819
Yeah figures
>>
>>44964089
A common symptom of depression is a lack of self-care.
>>
>>44968726
>im retarded and can't read what im replying to
ok
>>
>>44964089
When I started growing facial hair on my upper lip, I tried dissociating from it, ignoring it, did not work (lasted a few months), that is atleast my defence, but I do not understand full on-beards, maybe some people are better at dissociating and not breaking down over it? Idk
>>
>>44964089

It would mean having to look at yourself if you want to do a good job of it, or acknowledge it all even if you skip the mirror and just do it by feel. Some things feel so bad you'd rather let it happen if becoming aware of it is a pre-requisite for dealing with it.
>>
>>44964089
Because having a short beard gave me less dysphoria than stubble and beard shadow did, though I only realized that consciously in retrospect. Thank God for laser, dealing with beard shadow early in my transition made me want to die.
>>
>>44964089
I lived life as a straight guy and I’d always shave everything as smooth as possible on my face. I got hit on by so many gay guys in public. I really didnt like how facial hair made me look.
>>
this is only tangentially related to this thread but I'm surprised how many trans people remember how much distress they felt during puberty.
I'm trying to figure out if I'm a tranny myself but I have no memories how I felt about puberty. Like, I have memories from that period of my life, but none are related to changes my body went through. I know that I never shaved my body hair because you weren't supposed to do that as a guy and I wanted to avoid any attention from doing so, but I also can't remember ever wanting to shave. Same goes for facial hair. I did grow a very light stubble but I just can not remember how often I shaved or what I was feeling because of it.
It feels like it all happened without me, or at the very least I feel like I just let it happen without even thinking about it.
>>
Laser hair removal is free with medicade sooo I got that as quickly as I figured that out. Took me like 6 months to figure that out. Also a full year to find a clinic that actually took medicade for gender affirming care. Now though, I get laser every month and it's been good. Insurance approved me for 8 sessions which is amazing. Didn't even need prior authorization in my state.
>>
>>44970952
what state if u dont mind and did u need a diagnosis for medicaid to cover it
>>
>>44971153
Just ask AI if your state covers it. That's how I figured it out. It's pretty up to date and accurate with laws. I used Gemini personally. But as far as I know it is covered in most East Coast states.
