>>44964769for thinkpads, the reason i personally like them is because i also like vintage computing and vintage thinkpads are so much more reliable than 99% of their contemporaries. i also enjoy modern thinkpads but the reason for that is because i got mine for cheap and they're just nice laptops, however honestly they're quite overrated as other business laptops of the same caliber can be found for cheaper often and offer similar features (other than not being as pretty). as for linux, i use it because it's so much easier to tinker with (which i love) and lets me get stuff done faster and better than i could do on windows. also runs better on my older systems and something something privacy. as for computers in general, it's just always been a hobby of mine for basically as long as i can remember and something i find really fun and interesting :p

I study computer science, and yes, there are at least one or two trans women per class; it's nice to see them. There are very rarely any trans men, but that doesn't matter
