Back when my dad and I talked, Functionally he treated me like a son, passing down knowledge from my grandfathers, taking me hunting, teaching me how to work on vehicles, comparing me positively to my effeminate brother. Emotionally I was still a daughter. Suppose it's the closest to being a son I could get.I know I would've been a really stupid teenage guy, but it'd be a lot funner than my mother celebrating me bleeding out and maybe id be a good person.
Sometimes I feel bad for my dad, he was an athletic guy, played sports, had tons of friends, had couple of other women, and his first born came out frail and effeminate, had to be on heavy meds until 5, could suffer a sudden death at any moment, and hated sports, no wonder he preferred playing with my cousins.
>>44966661i feel really bad for my dad sometimes even though he's been abusive to me just cause he got such a failchild out of me
Same. My dad and I used to get along so much better when I was a child, before all the gender and sexuality bulkshit kicked in. He's still nice to me but it definitely changed after my mom went through my stuff and outed me at 13. Worst of all my older brother is special needs and will likely require constant support from my parents for the rest of his life, and their other 'son' ended up being a druggy troon failure. Womp. Wish I could've been the man they wanted me to be.
>>44966705I reckon it's a lot harder for mtfs, I just acted like the perfect daughter to get by. He hated gay and trans shit, had no idea I was jerking off to women
>>44966756Maybe. Parental expectations and just hard regardless for trans people, especially with non supportive parents. I hate that it's normal for parents to develop an idea of what they want you to be and try to cast that onto you rather than letting you florish and support the things you want. It's hard tho bc ik I would be a shitty parent so I don't wanna punch down if I wouldn't be better.
My dad taught me how to fish. How did I repay him? By almost hooking his eye out with a poor throw of the line. He should have realized right then and there that I could never be a real man
