Do closeted gay men who date women still exist in western/leftist countries/areas?
>>
>>44969674
that's like half of right wing politicians
>>
>>44969674
Yes, I don't understand why people assume it doesn't anyway. People are so focused on trannies they forgot everything else
>>
>>44969724
they think somehow everyone is ok with gays now
>>
>>44969739
It’s certainly better to be gay in the West than in most other places, but saying that nobody cares is a bit of an exaggeration
>>
>>44969745
>it's certainly better
t. person who has not spent a minute being gay in both countries
just seems like a way to blanket deny any homophobia gays in liberal areas experience as fake or lesser
>>
>>44969674
married "straight" men go for trannies even if you don't pass at all. you can just hop on a mainstream dating app, say you're a tranny and hook up with more guys than you could physically handle. men would fuck anything even me. you can even go long term with them they don't give a fuck as long as their friends don't notice.
>>
>>44969762
maybe people are willing to look the other way as long as you pretend to be female
>>
>>44969674
Possibly, but they'd be severely traumatized to even consider it. Why do you ask?
>>
>>44969820
some people seem to think this was a thing that only happened in the 1950s and couldn't happen now
>>
>>44969674
Mostly only in older generations. If anything it’s more common now for bisexual guys to pretend to be gay than it is for gays to pretend to be straight to meet social acceptance.
>leftist countries
>the west
Words don’t mean anything anymore.
>>44969686
Even a lot of right wing rich people are now just openly gay, even if they aren’t that loud about it (Peter Thiel, Sam Altman, etc.), though some still might be closeted (like Vance)
>>44969754
In my experience in a pretty right wing part of England, being gay isn’t “accepted” in the way that the establishment pretends it is but it’s so normalised than even being visually gay-looking isn’t going to get you hatecrimed or even insulted, but this is also specific to the areas I have lived which are either rich or rich and white, poor people and immigrants I wouldn’t feel so safe with.
>it’s not better in the west to be gay
Yeah maybe if the only non-NA/Western Europe country you’ve been to is Brazil. Eastern Europe isn’t a big fan, neither is most of East Asia, and it is pretty much totally unacceptable in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East
>>
>>44969833
but you say this as someone who isn't gay themselves
>>
>>44969824
Im sure it """happens""" because some christfags turborepress, but its hard to overstate how good being gay is and how shit pretending to be straight is. In the first world you have every possible chance to just get dick, you'd have to be severely mentally ill to justify torturing yourself like that. It happens but like, almost never and only to people who are unsalvageable anyway
>>
>>44969845
A fair number of religious groups still practice shunning of gays who come out. And that expectation to breed and provide kids for your family didn't just go away, and exists even in non-religious, non-conservative families.
>>
>>44969848
Yeah. And its pretty easy to realize that a miserable unfulfilling life isnt worth having kids, and you can just do surrogacy later anyway, so why repress? Its objectively a bad deal. Pretty much every sane gay realizes this by like 16

its pretty miserable being cut off by your family and losing all your money
If most gay people aren't loud out and proud there's probably a decent reason you are discounting.
>>
>>44969674
I'm my younger age, I "dated" a lesbian. We were both from kind of strict traditional families and it worked out well for us.

Assuming that post parents cut off their kids? Most dont. And if you think they will you dont get a gf, you lie until you're at uni in a dorm and then you fuck whoever you want
I mean shit dude im straight passing but im still out, i came out in highschool. Its one thing to fake it in public for material gains, but theres no rational reason to suffer it in private too when you could have a guy over instead and get your guts rearranged

I've listened to his voice once and he sounded faggy to me, genuinely, and I haven't listened since. His parents are from a really rural part of Kentucky (near pic related)
>>
>>44969836
I’m not the anon you were talking to before, I am a gay cis man, I was talking about my actual experiences in the real world rather than a cobbled together perception from newspaper articles and twitter
>>
>>44969674
yes I did this as I grew up Christian in a rural right-wing town
>>
>>44969876
you don't understand it is an internalised shame, of course I could've gotten gay sex all the time and just not have told people but my parents and the church more or less put a voice in my head that to this day tells me it's immoral to be gay and that I have to forcibly ignore.
>>
>>44969971
yeah so figure it out idiot
>be str8
you'll have a loveless relationship with no sexual satisfaction maintained entirely by shame and obligation that will MAYBE last long enough for you to put a baby in her and ruin three people's lives instead of one
>come out
you will be on the market and will be able to get a bf

choose exactly one
>>
>>44970023
you still don't understand of course it is an ill-advised course of action but trauma makes people behave irrationally
>>
>>44970023
t. person who isn't gay and has no idea what it is like
>>

>>44970032
yeah i do actually because i was there when i was a teenager. and you know what happened? i met some faggot i really liked who was also super into me and we hung out all the time and got handsy and i fucking ruined it by being too insecure to admit to myself that i liked him, so he moved on.

sometimes the only way to learn is to fuck something up and feel the pain of it, but the way you're going you wont get that lesson forced on you until you're hitting 35 and still a dateless virgin. you can take my advice and meet some dudes, or you can perish. Thats IT, because there's no prince charming coming to lift you out of it.

>>44970036
im gayer than you at the very least
>>
>>44970053
r U stupid I have alr come out?
>>
>>44970058
then go on some dates faggot, meet a man already
>>
>>44970053
t. ranny
>>
>>44970062
I have a boyfriend
>>
>>44970086
pfft sure
>>
>>44970104
stay mad
>>
>>44970123

>>
yes, many strangely deny it now
