My personal theory with this is that the entire reason LGBT culture was even okay’d by white women, the real arbiters of what goes in the west (at least in terms of the general population, obviously the capitalist ruling class and oligarchy calls the real shots) is through gay men and gay sex. This was done by essentially cordoning off gay men as a separate sort of gender, one that does not threaten women because the “men” that are having sex with other men are not competing with the type of men women want. Hence my reason for saying they are cordoned off, not a threat, thus they became the “gay best friend” archetype. Basically ask any white woman and they’ll tell you about their gay male friend, or lesbian friend. But tell a woman her husband, brother, father etc had gay sex at one point and watch her recoil in horror. Containment was breached, these were men she looked up to and who made sense in her hypergamous world view. Gay men were marketed as girlfriends but better, because they don’t compete with you for men. Idk if this sounds schizo but that’s my theory, also I think women want to control men and thus it helps to have the ability to be able to have same gender sex while men can’t.
