Imagine your soulmate, the love of your life, who you enjoy spending every waking moment with, deciding to break up with you because you're trans

No amount of "sexuality" can excuse this, if you were already in love with a person when they were cis, NOTHING changes when they are trans, are people really this superficial? changing the labels a person chooses to go by is enough to ruin an entire relationship?

I just cant understand this yet it seems to be acceptable as the norm

If nothing changes why announce it.

there is an epidemic in the lesbian community of ftms who really want to be trans women and call themselves lesbians when they are fully transitioning into manhood. the quoted tweet is likely a reactionary impulse to this. lesbian discourse in the last year has mainly been around how much space ftms are taking up in the lesbian community compared to their mtf counterparts. many self identified transmasc lesbians are deeply tumblrpilled, weaponize "AFAB"ness against trans women and regurgitate anti-transsexual rhetoric. as a reaction to this, many in the lesbian community especially on twt have adopted a kneejerk reaction to transmasculinity within lesbian communities due to this. you're right in thinking it's a bizarre reaction and i think this seems like a shorter term relationship but taking the context in it's a lot easier to understand

Because being male is what that person wants to be
>inb4 but im a lesbian
not if you fell in love with a trans man, going "um actually now that i know you are a man i suddenly am not in love with you anymore" is completely ridiculous and performative, you already loved the person as your partner, that means you are not a lesbian and thats fine youre bisexual who gives a fuck? you already loved the person all that changed are his pronouns and gender, he did not become an entirely different person, its just ridiculous

You can lose interest in a person upon learning things about him.
>>
>>44970327
based normies thay have standards
>>
>>44970399
learning someone is a different gender making you completely lose interest in someone is not absurd and cruel to you?
>>
>>44970417
nta & i can't speak for the op but if being attracted to your partner & comfortable with being intimate with them is incompatible or otherwise at odds with being respectful & supportive of their gender transition, as i imagine it would be if you're only attracted to women and are dating someone who wants to transition to being a man, i think in the vast majority of cases unless you were already really really deeply in love with each other it's not going to work anymore. the person in the screencap just had the foresight to see that right away rather than let it deteriorate
>>
>>44970492
I really just cant imagine being attracted to someone because "they are a girl" "they are a boy" and not for who they are as a person
>>
>>44970533
having a sexual orientation means the type of person you are attracted to is one with physical & social/behavioural characteristics associated with whatever gender(s) fall under said orientation. if a person you initially found attractive, at least in part because of those gendered characteristics, tells you they actually don't want them, that they make them uncomfortable, and they will actively be trying to take on opposing characteristics that you really don't like, that puts your attraction to them directly in conflict with their life goals and personal fulfilment. why the fuck is anyone gay or lesbian or straight if "being attracted to someone because they are a girl/boy" is all stupid nonsense
>>
>>44970603
I guess I just don't believe anyone that transitions has to change their "social/behavioural" characteristics and at the same time don't see the physical side of things as something that ever matters in any relationship
>>
>>44970609
then why be trans if it doesnt entail changing literally anything about your person
>>

>learning someone is a different gender making you completely lose interest in someone is not absurd and cruel to you?
in what universe...?
jesus you are so far gone.

I mean I don't see what is there to change other than presentation and looks and as I said looks dont matter to me in a relationship and presentation is just changing pronouns and your name

do people have completely different personalities before and after transitioning? thats silly
>>
>>44970369
>bisexual
I mean, Afabs basically are... save for really rare hetero/homos.

But it's gotta be hilarious since the poonah just looks and behaves literally like any other girl, so the only problem IS semantic for the lesbian

He/him lesbian pussy grinds!
