I'm 22 amab. I graduated uni and got a job. But I have already made a bunch of friends plus I still live with family to save money. I'm not exactly rich or anything, just not poor. And honestly transitioning is sth I've been wrestling with for ages. Yet I never get the courage to do it. Am not out to parents. Maybe I should. They'll find out if I do.So what else can I do?

>>44971867do you have dysphoria? how crippling is it?what is your height?are your family pro or anti-trans from what you can tell?

But since I can't have a car yet the folks are like "oooh lemme give you groceries"Sucks to be me
>>44972087Forgot to add buta) my parents are also anti long hair, evenb) i live in a blue state in the us but the us is getting pretty conservative rn and I FUCKING HATE IT
>>44971867Either you move out and transition and regret not doing it sooner now or you regret not doing it sooner later. You're asking "what else can I do" to 4chan because you know the only answer is for you to be yourself is to transition. Cisgender men don't think about all the pros and cons of transitioning as you have.
>>44972124Let's say I do move out. What would be the costs and benefits of transitioning?
>>44971867>>>/lgbt/hrtgen and get on E in secret if you can, boymode on E while you look for a job and a place to stay. if you're gender dysphoric you can try to repress it all you want but eventually you're either gonna 41 or John50, it doesn't just go away. i'm sorry your situation is difficult but there's nothing else you can really do but transition. good luck nona
>>44972170I'm a cis guy so I can't say. But I would imagine living in a perpetual state of not being who you actually want to be fucks up every other aspect of yourself. How can you take pride in any accomplishment when you're doing it for a person who basically isn't you? In the future ( you will transition )Every graduation or relationship will always have an asterisk of "Oh yeah that was when..." And mire it with some sort of profound sadness. I only know all this cus I dated a tgirl for like 5 years and it was such a stark contrast from me being able to comfortably talk about my childhood mistakes or stuff like that. You don't know what sort of psychic damage you're incurring right now because you're currently in the throws of it. I'm not saying your position is easy, but you're currently on a sliding scale of "how bad do I want to fuck up my life" and it can get really bad, i've seen it lol.
>>44972218Again I do have a job, and it's a respectable income and I'm kinda loaded. Not HELLA loaded tho. Likely even less so after I rent etc.And fyi I'm not rly here to ask "should I transition" but "what are some alternatives to transition, and how good are they".I do know about John50 and I hope I don't end up like him.One thing I should definitely do before girlmoding full time is lose weight btw.>>44972223I wish I could've been a true girl during my HS prom, my graduation, my first day of uni, my last day of uni, etc. I also wish I'd transitioned during middle school, I did have some legit feelings abt that but those got repressed. And now that I'm in my 20s my voice is already down the drain and my legs are hairy etc. I'd press the red button if it were real.
>>44971882it was a serious answer
>>44972390yeah there really aren't any alternatives, sorry
There's a difference between>I have dysphoria but I can repress and function as a man, like having a family and being a father if I want toand>I have dysphoria and I can't function socially or mentally, I will live a very stunted life if I don't transitionIf you have the 2nd scenario, the gain in your ability to function overrides the downsides getting cut off from your familyPeople on this website are very quick to tell you to drop everything and transition, but I think it comes down to where you rather be when you're 25: trans woman with bad relationship with family, or 25 year old man with more stable life and good relationship to family. Only you know the answer to that question.
>>44972651Hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaaha. Youre so right anon. Just rep more! That'll solve it for Nona. The feds on this site are seriously getting lazy.
>>44972651advising reppers to have children is the most insanely irresponsible thing imaginablejust build multiple other people's lives around a lie! nothing could go wrong!if you're going to be a retard and rep, at least have the decency not to involve other people in a way that leads to their lives getting blown up when you crack.
>>44972805Everyone is vocal when telling someone to transition. But those people are nowhere to be found when they post 2 years later as a depressed neverpasser honmoder. OP has a great starting point but don't just treat every patient with the same medicine.
