When you look at history as a big picture you can really just see the line of social acceptance going up. There are small pushbacks in the big line, like right now, but once you get people to accept an idea in their mind, like homosexuality not being disgusting, then people can't really go back to feeling the disgust anymore, and neither can their kids etc. You can see this with trump, its mainly old people voting for him, and as time goes on those people die off and the new generation is more accepting again, thus were they elect a new "trump", that "trump" would also be more accepting. Anyway what im trying to say is that i dont see history or the world as this constant fight of good and evil, where you have to battle 24/7 so the dark side doesnt take power, i see it as only a waiting game, time itself favors progressivism.
