i moved to georgia about a year ago, i never felt free or safe living in russia even in most expensive af districts in moscow or saint petersburg, not to mention my own town where i almost got stabbed bc of my appearance lol xd, but here i actually feel free and safe. i'm kinda hon and don't really pass and i get some weird looks and stares sometimes, but noone approached me or said anything so it's alrightit's pretty cheap, much cheaper than russia especially now. i paid $500 for 1+1 (evrodvushka) apt in vake (best district in tbilisi) and yeh well it's cheaper than renting in russia even in small cities with nothing but depression and gopniks around, but now we rent some big af house in the country and i pay $200 for a room and it's basically a gift, since utilities in my parents' house in russia is more expensive than thisfor everyday expenses $1000 (including rent) is pretty much enough for simple comfortable life, but if you wanna have food deliveries everyday and some restaurants visits every other day or weekends, and also some bars, nightclub visits and shit it'd be around $1.5-2k i'd sayi'd suggest everyone to leave that fucked up country asap, it's never gonna get better or anything, and it's just risky, at the end of the day it's just uncofortable with barely working mobile internet, no GPS, always have to mess with VPNs, security men even ask you to turn your electronics when entering metro stations just like in airports lately lol. it's just a rock off the shoulder after you move out trust mei'm planning to move to latam next year or some day for new passport, uruguay seems nice, you basically can get permanent residence permit there, and get a pasport after 5 yrs of living, plus it's 0% taxes for all international income. relatively pricey though (compared to other south american countries like argentina)
